Boat Stuff
I have two suggestions for boats:
1. Somebody mentioned cargo holds before, however I think a better option would be a cabin. This would be a seperate room on a boat, locable, where things can be stored and also, it is the only place where the controls can be operated. This way pasengers can't mess about and start docking the boat where you don't want to.
2. Vehicle transports. i.e. you can transport vheclies. Obviosly this would depend on the size of the boat and the vehicle in question.

EDIT: Oops... didn't fully read the first post
I like the idea of vehicle transports - maybe making vehicles 'draggable' items - so your could possibly move the smaller ones into buildings (to keep extra safe etc...) as well as onto other, larger vehicles...

I would like to be able to bring bikes onto larger boats.

Not true.
Oh and yeah... you shoudl be able to fit ANYTHING onto a boat that will fit, weightwise. If you want to waste all of your boat's capacity building a hall on it, you should be able to. Meh, just my opinion.

Thank you for adding that on for me Surley. I was indeed talking about RL. And the reason I said it was because others have been saying that at least galleons should have it, but just about everything that classifies as a ship in my opinion should have an area that is seperate from the deck, or do as Nick suggested and let people build houses upon their ship. It would give a real use to aluminum because people would want to build shacks to leave themselves with the most room possible on their ships.
