I think you totaly missed my point.

Ha said in order for guns to be implemented there would have to be Ammmunition yada yada yada.

My point was that we already have Bows and such like, they don't have ammunition!

yeah, and many have suggested and agreed that bows should have ammunition - the point seems to be that guns should be implemented after ammuntion has, which would start with bows. It'd also require much change in the dynamics of combat...

I got an idea... make them just as powerful as crossbows... and have a chance of inficting self damage, is easy to learn. but misses often. Early guns were as dangerous to yourself as it was to the enemy and your friends.... they sometimes explode when you put gun powerder in them, and miss most of the time. See artileries in movies? they never hit properly, and miss most of the time.

But no guns, not yet. I mean, half the people in the game don't even have clothes.....

With current programming, we wouldn't be able to do this, so we're forced to wait for a combat system overhaul.[/quote]

We have nukes in real life, and there's still people starving to death, naked.

I couls see something old-fashioned like a musket being added; wildy innacurate, but when it does connect it packs a hell of a punch.

Guns shouldn't be introduced until ranged and melee weapons have a difference between them.
Because again, it's just as deadly to get sliced by a sabre as shot by a gun.
But I'd certainly prefer the gun in a mortal combat situation.

See, that isn't useful in cantr, really.

IRL inaccurate weapons can be useful if you stack enough of them that one is likely to hit. In cantr, there's no way you'll ever stack enough.

Interesting thing for when guns do arrive...rifles are not advanced technology. It's just that it took a long time before they could be nearly as quick to load...

I would really prefer guns not be implemented for some time now.

I think we need a bit more time to start simple economies before we start building pistols and the like.

That's just me though.

We could make muskets, and musket pistols, large calibre but hopelessly inaccurate. you could shoot at someone from 10 yards and miss them.

Just increase the miss ratio of a musket and it would be fine.
