1529 - 4 You enter zjzjkekdyukf, coming from the crumbling longboat Ship of Fools.

1529 - 4 You say "Land! Sweet Sweet land!!!"

1529 - 4 A rhinocerous attacks you for 250%. Your shield is useless against the attack. You are deaded.

Yes, please, no vehicle deterioration.

What I am saying is that if a hammer breaks it wouldn't become completely useless there would still be some stone and wood that could be reused to build a nother hammer. I would especially like to see this initated before buildings and vehicles start to decay. I would also like to see vehicles never decay as they are rare as it is.

Now in real life it would fall into useless pieces. But this is Cantr, where if you make clothes for example, there are no leftover scraps, even if you are required to use scissors, you can mould iron with no fire and things like that. So even if some of the stuff detoriated, there wouldn't be half rotten planks left, no, just a smaller amount of ordinary wood.

Speaking of cars, could there be a project to strip a car for parts after after you steal it?

Time: 1 turn (smooth criminal)
Tools: Stone (cinder blocks), tire iron

I'd like that

But I also want to see vehicles deteriorate, simply because the cars are too good, unless you make them build oil refineries to refine the oil to get petrol to run the cars.

But since they are all metal, give them plenty of time ( like 4 rl years to fully deteriorate a car

I'm sure it'll be more like four Cantr years, with the ability to repair them added exactly one day before they all crumble to dust. Not that there would be any tools left by that point to repair them with. :?

Well, aren't you optimistic...

C'mon show some respect Lumin... do you know how far we are in the process of deterioration? No. Has anything actually crumbled? Not that I'm aware of. I'm not saying it's perfect, but if they admit their calculations were a little off, don't you think they would refine it the next time? They're smart people Lumin, but they're human, like the rest of us.

Well, if the name system is accurate, longbows are crumbling, and they're a pain to make. Have you ever made a cotton bowstring?
I don't mind that, now, because it means all the old hunting bows are meeting their maker. But composite recurve bows? You make a wood-and-metal bow, which is replaced by a no-metal bow that does 3 damage less, and it's like the second item I can think of to crumble? That's a little bit harsh. Incidentally, breaking will occur before repairing, I'm almost certain, because breaking is supposedly about to happen.

Please don't make vehicles deteriorate. With tiredness and deterioration and all the new, time-consuming manufacturing techniques, productivity is down a lot. If vehicles deteriorate, in 20 years when they all break it'll be virtually impossible to own a good vehicle. EXCEPT by the magic of NO DETERIATION! Oh, yeah, let's keep all our stuff in resource form. Now it's actually MORE desirable to hoard metal than ever, because as soon as you use it it starts deteriorating. So the 50k piles of cheap iron from before the shift to hard-to=get iron can stay intact.

intricacies of the deterioration system aside...

I don't want to wait for thigns to crumble if I want to get rid of something, I want to be able to rip it apart and scatter it about the hills

Gahh, I tell you what should be breakable - jails! Digging a tunnel, a hole through the wall, carving the door into shavings - anything!

How long would the project be?

Very yes for everything destroyable, but what Seko is describing isn't the same as destroying.

She'd just collapse the building on her, so stipulate you can only destroy from outside of the object. (Doesn't stop you leaving people in there as you bury them alive though  )

WTF

Thread's been dead for 9 months only to be necro'd by someone posting yes please.

Just let this sift back down to the dust. It's no longer a concern.

It is still a concern

I still want to be able to recycle my stuff...

Not tools, as they're too small to recycle, but we should be able to pull apart buildings and furniture and machinesa for wood, stone, iron, steel etc...
Whoever you vote for.
