Restore old damage values against animals
Latest news indicates that knives do 1-2 damage against animals whereas they used to do 10. Further up the scale at the level of sabers and crossbows, damage seems to have been cut by at least half. This poll is to give you an opportunity to voice your opinion on that.

I have now checked using a charrie who, as far as I could see, had none.

Good point, but lions at least certainly aren't 8/10ths easier to kill. And I've checked the 1-2 damage for a knife using several charries. It's skewed out of proportion yet again. Top-end weapons do about half damage, those at the bottom almost none.
Hence the poll.

This damage reduction...is that purely for animals or does it apply to other Cantrians as well? (I don't want to find out by randomly attacking someone in game...)
Because I think hunting has been a bit too easy before, but I wouldn't like a system where actual combat would take more time...it is too slow allready.
With slower hunting something would of course have to be done to the animals reproduction rate though...otherwise places like the Swedish part will be doomed.

Confused...doesn't that mean you don't find it exhausting?

But then, it wasn't all that long ago that composite bows started existing...before that if you had the equivalent weapon, you were an iron-equipped power.
But my actual point was that that's 1/3-ish or 10 points of damage lost. Either way, people in certain areas, let alone the foreign language areas that were already overstocked with deadly animals, and hadn't advanced past bone knives in many cases, are dead meat. The Kirrin Survivors can throw in the towel now.

Thanks. Yes, that was my point in this poll. The whole Baaak/Mulof/Zhift lion-zone also.

But at least Baaak area is full of unlocked buildings so that's not so bad. Sseefzofnia in Swedish area now that is a different case, if you go there without a shield the gorillas will kill you in no time. But hey, that's only logical. But -- the problem is that to get a shield you need to go to a forest for the wood and when ALL the forests have nasty animals...
