Can't say.
1. 4-day rule. (Oops, I kind of already broke it, but it's not like this character was a groundbreaking cultural-shifting politically-genius sensation. Or was s/he? 8))
2. Haven't read my turn reports so I'm not even fully sure what happened anyway. XD

All I know is that most (used to be all) of my dead characters died from starvation because I got bored and stopped playing them or they got depressed and lost their will to live IC or something. This one was different.

Acid reflux, bloating, itchy skin, occasional and random bouts of intense nausea.

Yesterday I worked as a dishwasher at a gas station. This one guy was helping me, he went on two breaks during that time. Then he just disappeared even though almost all the dish collection racks were full. I found out he went home because his shift ended. They said I'm supposed to survive on my own until the next person comes in. I was already in the verge of a panic attack before they told me this. The lights seemed too bright and I was noticing every spot of dirt on the walls. This one female worker came to help out for a while, but then I had to survive on my own again. Come end of the shift, another worker bursts in and starts doing the dishes. I say my shift is supposed to end at 8pm and she says "so does mine but all the racks are full, so something has to be done about it. I figure okay, I can't leave yet, so I continue helping out in the clean end. Then the manager comes over and says weren't you supposed to finish at 8? So I finish maybe 5 past 8 and she asks me did I manage to do all the dishes in the racks. I say I definitely didn't, all day when one gets switched out, it's full by the time we get the next one empty. She just laughed. I wonder if this is normal for them. It seemed they were at least one person short. I worked there previously on new year's day and it was much more manageable.

My character did 63 damage just now on a person with a shield. Combat in this game sucks.

I'm actually quite interested in the culture of Finland after reading this. In america, ('murica!) No such gas stations exist with dishes to be washed. Is this some sort of long haul truck stop with an attached diner? How could there be enough dishes to keep one if not multiple people busy for an entire workday. Or at least one long enough to require multiple breaks as described. I've seen restaurants, fast food joints, and other dish washing facilities, before. Typically I see Rush periods where things get backed up where a dishwasher simply can't pass enough dishes through quick enough, they usually have enough back supply of clean dishes to handle these times, or a powerful enough dishwasher to handle the load. Unless you are stuck hand washing these dishes(yuck). But with as much dishes as it sounds like you go through, it is a poor financial/management decision not to own an automatic washer.

The dishwasher is industrial but still requires rinsing the stuff you put in, or usually there's some residue left on the dishes, meaning they need to go for a second round, and nobody wants that. There's a chain of gas stations that have a lunch buffet, plus an à la carte menu that includes hamburgers, and usually a small convenience store. They have enough dishes so that even when all the return racks are full, there are still clean plates left over, but the problem is when the customers have no space left to bus their own trays, they leave them on the table and someone has to clean it up eventually. There's food available 24/7, although the lunch buffet isn't open all day long, so people just order à la carte when it's closed, and sometimes instead of buffet food. The buffet plates are kind of small, so you can fit two of them side by side in the dishwasher rack. Then they have salad plates. À la carte plates, which are bigger, you can fit one of those side by side with a salad plate, but not with a buffet plate or there might be too much overlapping. And pizza plates, which are so big that they can't fit side by side with anything, which is annoying. Then there's iron skillets, not sure what they serve on those, which in a proper restaurant would be scrubbed by hand, but since time is money, here they are throw in the dishwasher. They need to be put face down or otherwise there's a little bit of residue left in the edge and they just won't get clean. Some sort of wooden baskets that the skillets go in so that customers won't burn themselves on the hot iron. Even those are thrown in the dishwasher if they're dirty. Deep dish pizza pans, rare but they come in occasionally. Probably not dishwasher safe but into the dishwasher they go. They have hundreds of dishes, so at the end of the day it starts getting difficult to figure out where to stack them. Last time I think I worked a night shift so it might explain why it wasn't as busy as this time. Also, proper (à la carte) restaurants tend to have a separate dishwasher for glasses, but not gas stations (or workplace diners for that matter). Everything goes in the same machine, except the pans used for baking food. At least there's a separate machine for that and I don't have to worry about it. But the serving dishes I have to unload and they tend to sit around on a cart and pile up and people rarely take them where they belong. I don't know where they go so I can't take them myself.

Wow! No such thing exists that I've ever seen. Sounds like management needs to work on organization a bit. Around here, gas stations are a dirty dirty place, one wouldn't want to pick up food that isn't sealed and preserved. Otherwise known as convenience marts.

In most of western and central Europe you have restaurants right next to the gas station, typically on the opposite of the road connected by a bridge. Unpackaged food is never served at a gas station though, and they are filthy especially along the highway through France.

I don't like gas stations because the bulletproof glass counters just remind me of how far away from civilisation most of them are. It's very eerie and I'd hate to do a night shift there.

In the States, there are these signs that say Exit #, Food: (a bunch of logos) Gas: (a bunch of logos). In Finland it's just ABC where you can get gas and food, but I don't terribly like the food, at least the sandwiches suck. The customers area looks relatively clean but the floor in the dishwashing room is filthy, even though it gets washed once a day. There used to be little independent places where you could get really good sandwiches, but they all (or at least most of them) got swallowed by this chain.

Sounds a lot like truck stop diner type places, if I am not mistaken.

After spending nearly 5 days at my brothers dog sitting while he went on vacation (without me! That bum) I am glad to be able to go sleep in my own bed. While I enjoy having a computer and TV while I'm at his house, I am looking forward to the peace and quiet of a house with no electronics. :)
Oh look, another glorious morning… makes me SICK!

There's an independently owned convenience store near here that sells fresh produce and some really good barbeque. They mark the produce up to ridiculous prices of course but if you're having a sandwich emergency and can bring yourself to pay $1.79 for a single tomato it's nice not to have to drive all the way into town.

The ones owned by the major chain that's taken over town all just sell really scary looking hotdogs and burritos.
