So many uneditable notes. Most of the time it's trash that did not need to be preserved, and even when it's an interesting historical note, the lack of an editing view means it can't be a part of my reversing-for-readability binge.

Wasn't my intention.
Just glad to see others working hard to preserve the past.

Is there any particular reason why I can't put coins in a handbag?
I had a character who wants to keep some coins separated from the rest of hers and I just found out I apparently can't do that. Not a major issue or anything, just a bit puzzled.

I've been wondering for the longest time: where do old repair projects come from? why are they here? are they the result of an old item crumbling away and reappearing as a project? was it some code or programming from a long time ago?
is it possible for a character to create an 'old repair project'? if so, how do you get them to appear?

That's the remnants of the old repair system, where the item being repaired disappeared from the inventory and remained in oblivion until the repair project was complete. So what you see there is the projects set up before the current system. You couldn't cancel those projects, either. It was quite clunky and odd, and as far as I know, no, you can't replicate those projects now as the old system is gone.

Behold the beauty of old repairs:
All quick one hour projects too. My character has never been wealthy, so this is such a welcome sight. I'm going to leave them there as long as possible so I don't have to worry about decay.
Oh, and fun bit of trivia: Back in the day any even remotely at risk characters had to carry around two shields each, because with only one they'd be completely vulnerable while repairing it.
edit: had to look up what a mallet was even for. The answer? Nothing!
...as novel as it might be owning not one but two of a completely useless items, could we at least be able to hit people on the head with them for a comical 1 point of damage?
edit2: how can one sentence contain so many typos??

I feel bad about complaining... but it really is. I feel like if you are calculated to be at 99 percent for the current tick it should just auto jump to 100 and finish the project/docking/travelling... because really.. three hours for 99 percent is just so painful. Especially when you have limited time to play. Talking about all full time workers here who can't play at work at all. Can't even say how many times I've jumped on at the morning, been at 99% and cursed the cantr gods because I won't be able to come back for another 10 hours.. all of which will be wasted doing nothing because I can't get on after the finishing tick after the 99% to make two clicks to go somewhere / do something else.

Re: Things that annoy or puzzle you about Cantr
Percentage is based on project size though. Sometimes it legitimately takes a full hour or more to do 1% of the work.
Weirdly enough I seem to run into this more with my skilled characters than the others. Probably confirmation bias, but it really does seem like they're always good enough to get so close, but not quite close enough to actually finish any faster.
And it's the absolute worst when you're traveling. I make it a point to be awake when my chars roll in to any unfamiliar town, and that's thrown me off more than a few times.

I don't think anyone would be complaining about being at 99% of a 40-day project. It's always the ones that are only going to take a few ticks to begin with that are the real kick-in-the-pants.
