If things are going to be destroyed then won't they also be able to be recycled. For example, you stumble onto a ghost town which has a few buildings or an oven or something. And you need some stone or iron which was used to make the particular object. Would you be able to reuse it, because it can't just disappear, but I suppose it could just become unusuable.

So if damaged stone was used in a new building in-game, maybe that new building would erode faster (when/if possible).
But maybe the damaged stone would not be left after the fire. Only the good stone that was left alone and only fell when the building collapsed.

I just said kill them as a joke. You could always drag them like they said, maybe there's a chance they will fail from doing it or when they do it maybe there's an extra comand that says for them to stop. Or there could be a health system like with people where you can only hit a building once a day then the person has to repair it.

Maybe not special tools, but some would work better than others. A mace would help out a lot more than a chisel. Maybe some wouldn't work at all. It could be a project and have a chance to fail, like lockpicking. And the more people helping, the greater the chance to knock something down.
That would take a lot of people and a fair amount of time. So that would mean there would not have to be a limit on the number of buildings (and other things) you could attack.

Yes, being able to tear buildings down with your bear hands isn't right. Pickaxes and sledgehammers work best for stone I think, axes for wood, and sledehammers. Other tools as well may be suitable. Per haps a building could have a health rating like chars, only much bigger. Each turn you spend trying to tear it down it takes some damage depending on the tool being used (take the best tool for that purpose), and when the house runs out of health it collapses. Perhaps you can see some general indicators of the building state, like chars health
