Seriously, doctors don't care if your story sounds ridiculous or if you're just going because you have the sniffles. There are doctors that don't care if you're going to them for something a bandaid could fix, as long as they get paid. Then there are others who actually care. if it's nothing, they'll celebrate with you, if it's something, they'll buckle down and figure out what the best course of action is for you and your family.
Doctors see a lot of people, some of them are hypochondriacs to overreact to everything, others are legitimately ill patients.
You're going isn't going to make them think any less of you. They're not going to think you've wasted their time with your childish thoughts and they're not going to think you're crazy or an idiot.
It's just, over all, better to be safe and sorry, especially where anything abdominal is concerned. So many things start off as just a nuisance and they turn fatal over time. If you have the means to see your healthcare professional, do it. There are others who need to see doctors and can't afford to, so they just suck it up. You have parents who care about you and insurance that will cover some part of the expense, take advantage of it while you have it.
Ranting: Took the kids shopping today and dropped all of this week's check on new clothes. I enjoyed doing it, actually. I've always been a fan of spending money on others. I just never know what to give people but kids are easy, they needed clothes, I got them clothes. They amused the heck out of me. I picked them up from school this afternoon and they were going on about their budgets; the oldest decided her budget was $100 and the youngest decided $100 million would suffice. The youngest also offered to get me a bouncy house thing for my birthday this summer (paid for by my mother, apparently) in return for my buying them clothes.
I let them pick anything they wanted from that store (with the exception of shorts that were smaller than the underwear they wear (honestly, why do they even sell that stuff, and for kids even!!!)). My brother apparently decided that was not what should be done. I just don't see the point in picking someone's clothes out. I figure let them pick what they want, if it fits them right and they're comfortable in it, they can buy it. I only said no to stuff that was too short and well, skanky. Things kid's clothes should not be, that's just disturbing, really.
Spending the day at their school tomorrow for [Track &] Field Day. Watching the older one race in the morning and little one in the afternoon when she goes to school. Signed up to volunteer all day. I've been looking forward to actually doing something with their school and I finally have time off and free to do it. =)
And, this has been insanely long. Off I go.
