Re: Animals left?
Good thing attacks are turned off, mojo.
There's no point in me redistributing the animals, as they'll all just go back where they want. I suppose I could have someone set migration to zero, then redistribute, but that would be a pain in the ass re-entering all the migration numbers once the mechanism is fixed.

While I appreciate the attacks being turned off, I worry for the towns whose animals have all left to pool in other towns. To lose all the pigeons and rabbits in a place where the people hunt with bone spears, and meat is their only option, could be just as devastating as a town with too many animals.

Well, if that's the case, and you aren't sitting on a mountain of uncooked meat already, I suppose you can leave your town and go look for it in another until this is fixed. Really, I think that whole Cantr hunting culture of shooting things from your back porch is a bit too leisurely.

Agreed, but that would require a planned change to animal handling and a statement that says that from "now" on animals may move in larger numbers than before. Just so that people have a chance to preare for it. Right now in many places, people hunt a rabbit every other day for food, but is running out. And there is no way of telling where the packs of animals move, so you may take a few wrong turns and you're dead. The situation is a drastic unplanned change caused by a bug having a hard impact on many locations that is about to run out of food.

There are somewhere over 100 mouflon in one place. And 50 dire wolves.
Population killing commences.

Re: Animals left?
Animal migration has been stopped. Tomorrow I'll redistribute the populations. This will mean, of course, that populated towns will get hunted out, but it will at least impose some order on things.

Re: Animals left?
It improves strength and the hunting skill, not your fighting skill.
