The possibilities of freeroam are exciting. (: That's going to be wonderful to RP.

At the moment, no. Most likely there will be currents, though. There *may* be very primitive flight machines.

Andu wrote:No wait, I meant to ask... how will the world look like? Cantr- dots and sea?(I guess not) FTO-square? Or or free movement 2D?

Completely open, with line of site based on a few factors (height, vegetation, weather). You can interact with things based on the line of site available, which can vary over time, even if you never move location.

So free movement 3D, actually, as there is height data as well. Pity you've got gravity. ;) The world isn't square, more rectangular as it is modelled on a physical planet of a particular circumference.

Actually.. no. Physical building locations are kind of abstracted out. There will be limits within each area though, you can't build houses on top of each other and I'm not allowing multi storey houses at the moment, considering the size of the map.

I'm not attempting cave systems, but there are some unique features in R that should keep the thieves busy.

Um, how exactly would it take to travel like north or south one unit? or whatever it is.. .-. Would you be able to talk/interact with people several units away?

Travel speed depends on many factors, many of which you can control. And yes, given the right conditions.

So basically travel will be a fancy FTO style. And good, otherwise it'd be real hard to have very large cities or something.. anyway..

Except totally different. During travel you can see everything, interact with anyone within line of site, and do simple tasks if walking. You can be fatigued enough to be forced to stop travelling, as well. Travelling will drain your fatigue, at a dynamic rate (e.g. walking uphill will tire you faster).
