Blocking slots.
Okay. So when a character younger than twenty five (25) dies, (s)he blocks the character slot for forty days.
But what if the character is just two or three days from aging, and dies, not because the player wants him/her to die, but because of either having to RP it, (because, for example, the character is being tortured to death..) or due to being unable to give him/her food?
The player ends up having to wait forty days for a new character slot.
My suggestion;
Let the player wait until the character would have been twenty-five, instead of forty days. So if it would take just three more days. Let him/her wait three days.
Of course there would still have to be a maximum of forty days.
Please post comments, and hit me if you think it's a stupid idea.

New Suggestion: Fix the countdown.
At least something productive comes of it.

Ah! That explains a lot. I was surprised to see "40 days blah blah blah" and then at 38 it disappeared

They already told me so.
I just didn't know that yet, as it shows 'blocking slot for 40 day(s)'.
