But "knight", well there are knights in cantr, but no doubt the term "knight" which is culturally specific to european middle ages in the real world, came from just there!

Seems western culture is okay to import but eastern not?

Well, don't forget we're most likely talking about the English language group here. You can't avoid importing much of the culture together with the language. In a Japanese language group probably no-one would complain about ninjas.
Besides, after all kight, pirate and ninja are just words. They don't have to mean exactly the same as in the real world.

"Sleeping", "spawning" similarly is really sort of an OOC concept, in game people might use different terms, or ideas, if they are truely being in character.

I always percieved those things as very in-game concepts. Sleeping in Cantr differs from real sleeping in almost everything except the word. And it's the same with spawning. We could of course use other words, but if they would mean the same, what's the point?

But remember as pointed out above, you are twenty when you start playing. All the game says is "you notice someone". Thats an action on the perceivers side, not the person starting playing, yet its refered to as the person starting playing "spawning"...
