Why? When you will be really able to drink a cup of water than writing about it - is it a fall of role playing? I don't think so.
Do you know game: EVE?
Very similar concept and open-ended where you can do what you want but in future in space. Do you believe there is no roleplaying there?
You can check how many players play EVE every day.
To conclude: I would look on this in a very pragmatic way. What make Cantr interesting? Not graphic itself but interaction between players. If there is no players, there is no fun at all. And in my opinion there are very few players as Cantr apperance is not interesting.
