Primitive Fire Pit
Currently, stone is the only resource that prevents animal products from being able to independently sustain a character, in that stone is required for cooking (fire pit and cooking stone). While stone is generally abundant, I know that there are several vast grasslands in the game which would make traveling to get stone an epic quest. While ringing a fire pit with rocks is the smart thing to do, there is no fundamental need for them. There is likewise no fundamental need for a stone to cook eggs (they cook just fine, in the shell, right on the fire).
I'm suggesting a stone-less fire pit, and a new resource-independent method to cook eggs. They could be inefficient, or whatever needs to be done for balance, but I think the option needs to be there.

Not to mention that if these primitive firepits took no resources nor tools to build, people would be making them all over the place. Or more like starting projects for them, they wouldn't actually need to finish them.
It would be different if things deteriorated, like of course you can make a fire on plain ground irl but it won't stay there forever. There'll be just ashes and eventually they will get swallowed by plants or carried away by the wind.

Or what about a way to make something that required no resources, but after you finished one project on it, it would dissappear?
When you hope for something, you often believe in something. When you believe in something, you often have pride in it. Being proud often leads to a hating of some group.

But the dirt that comes out of the hole vanishes, you cannot put it back. You can't fill the hole. With the signal fires, I think they have the code for destroying a machine. So couldn't one of the projects on the hole be "fill this hole", requires no resources and the result is the undoing of the hole? It couldn't be started when the pit is in use because well, it would be in use.

I think it's easier to remove the 20g stone needed to make the spit, so people can cook food with only some initial wood and a knife, and after that, use dung.
Although, I think a primitive fire pit that is destroyed after one use is better. When the one-shot machines are implemented, this would be very easy to make.
