I've only had one experience with a character of a different language, and it turned out very well for my charrie.

I have had several encounters in the time that I have been playing. Usually they either just are quiet and go on their way, or they are very nice and try to communicate by pointing at stuff and saying the words. However, my most recent encounter with some polish players went very badly. They attacked the group of people my character was with unexpectedly and for no appearant reason. They killed one of the people he was with and are still fighting the others. I wish I knew Polish so I could communicate with them and resolve it. However I don't, and neither does my character so I guess my character is doomed to fight to the death.

Yeah..I was a little scared OOCly for my charrie when I learned the guy was polish, considering the stories I've heard of polish chars randomly killing people. Especially since he had a pilum and all my char had was a dung-fork.

Yeah I know. I don't know why they seem to like to attack foreigners for no appearant reason, but who knows.

*laughs* Yeah I can see why you might have been afraid.

Yeah, but now I have his boat and everything else he owned.
Thank god for heart attacks.

Playing a Swedish guy on the Esperanto region, I've noticed it's very easy to steal when there's no one in town and you don't understand the notes. I've found over 20 kilos of hematite just lying around. If only I'd find some limestone... I had some earlier but I don't remember where I got it from.
