I've only had one experience with a character of a different language, and it turned out very well for my charrie.

A polish guy arrived on his boat, came out, there was brief communication by way of translation notes, then he died and my char took his stuff. :D

I have had several encounters in the time that I have been playing. Usually they either just are quiet and go on their way, or they are very nice and try to communicate by pointing at stuff and saying the words. However, my most recent encounter with some polish players went very badly. They attacked the group of people my character was with unexpectedly and for no appearant reason. They killed one of the people he was with and are still fighting the others. I wish I knew Polish so I could communicate with them and resolve it. However I don't, and neither does my character so I guess my character is doomed to fight to the death. :(

Yeah..I was a little scared OOCly for my charrie when I learned the guy was polish, considering the stories I've heard of polish chars randomly killing people. Especially since he had a pilum and all my char had was a dung-fork.

Yeah I know. I don't know why they seem to like to attack foreigners for no appearant reason, but who knows.

He wants to die. He's seeking the end of the world, when we lost sight of land, he started yelling "The End of the World!" and started to attack all of the people on board, including himself. He wanted to bring me with him... to death... O.o

ITS BRILLIANT! :D

Sounds like all of this information about this guy is too recent to be talking about explicitly like this, especially on the forums.

Playing a Swedish guy on the Esperanto region, I've noticed it's very easy to steal when there's no one in town and you don't understand the notes. I've found over 20 kilos of hematite just lying around. If only I'd find some limestone... I had some earlier but I don't remember where I got it from.
