Schme wrote:SECTION 4- There shall be a party organization by the name of the Grey Guard. The Grey Guard shall be the military wing of the Authoritarian Party of Cantr. It shall be composed of volunteers recruited from the party ranks. It shall be headed by the Commander of the Grey Guard, who shall be appointed by the president. The Commander may be forced to reseign from his post by the president. The Grey Guard shall concern itself with the protection of party interests, members and property, with subversion of and aggression action towards the party’s enemies, including but not solely consisting of extortion, intimidation, assault, theft, and idle threats. Members of the Grey Guard can be expulsed from their positions by the president. Members of the Grey Guard shall never break the laws, by-laws or local statutes for party business. The uniform of the Grey Guard shall be a baseball cap with the bill pointing forward.

BTW - Expulsed isn't a word. ;) Repulsed is, so is expelled, but expulsed isn't- at least not in my books.

(edit: that is according to www.dictionary.com, oxford dictionary and wikipedia. However when I read wikipedia, the world expulsion came upo and I'm like, oh right, expulsed is expulsion except in different form, so maybe you're right. :P )

Not at all. The time is ripe for change. The people (them being me), are ready for a new, enlightened, dictatorial rule. Welcome to the winning team, Comrade!

(This is what I do during commercials. As you can see, some nights I watch a great deal of television.)

The issue has been refered to Comrade Delegate Phalynx.

I like you’re style, Comrade Phalynx. Very well done. Men like you are the backbone of the Party!

Blackdeath wrote:...will their be refreshments? free refreshments?

An excellent question, my friend. I find it quite likely. I’ll address it at the next Central Party Congress. Perhaps you’d like to apply for party membership and aid us in making the decision? What am I saying! Of course you would! Good luck on your application.

Perhaps you're unfamiliar with the people referenced. They are all sarcastic examples.

But no, I don't speak for all Canadians. Only the one's worth speaking about.

Third Meeting of the Central Party Committee
October 16, 2006
Party Members welcome to attend and Participate

His Excellency President Schme holds the floor.

“Comrades, Brothers in Arms, and partisans of the struggle, hello and welcome.

Firstly, I would like to begin with some marvelous news!

Since the last meeting of the Central Party Committee, party membership, thanks to my brilliant and enlightened direction, has increased by 50%! Let us rejoice in this clear evidence that the people of Cantr are ready for change and that we have their support.”

(Deafening Applause.)

“Thank you, thank you. Comrades, as some of you may have heard, not to long ago a Party Member caused some disruption due to his clinging to the Old Ways of thinking and his lack of faith in the Party leadership. We must all remember this, as it is not difficult to fall back into the Old, unenlightened ways of thinking, and we must all take care to make sure that this never happens to any of us. We must always remain strong in our principles and move forward on the road of our Revolution. Thankfully, loyal and ideologically pure Party elements discovered and dealt with this misguided Comrade, and I am glad to say that he has been fully and properly re-educated.

Now, Comrades, as you all know, there has recently been some problems with Party discipline. This illustrates the clear need for the formation and maintenance of the Party’s military wing as outlined in our Constitution. Recognizing Comrade Delegate Phalynx’s extensive history and experience in discovering and eradicating deviation and misconduct, as well as his impressive triumphs in the re-education of misguided Party members, I have selected him to serve as Commander of the Grey Guard, and to build and run the organization.

Congratulations, Comrade Delegate Phalynx, First Commander of the Grey Guard!”

(Applause and Cheering.)

“Also, I would like to welcome a new Party Member to our ranks, whom I vouch for as ideologically pure. A man who has extensively studied and tested his faith in the Party doctrine and found it sound, a man who received personal tutoring from Delegate Phalynx himself, Comrade N-Aldwitch!”

(Yet more Applause.)

“Comrade N-Aldwitch, as a probationary member of the party, I feel it is important that you prove you’re loyalty to the party before being considered for progression in the Party’s hierarchy, appointment to a specific position or delegation of more important party tasks. Therefore, I would like to entrust you with this mission, on behalf of myself and the party, specifically, to deliver the following message to Jos via the website’s personal messaging system.”

[Dear Jos,
Due to you’re prominent position as Chairman of the Cantr Board of Directors, we feel that you would be an important asset to our cause, specifically in our battle to remove Chairman Jos and the Cantr Board of Directors from their positions of control and Authority and replace them with our own appointements.

This considered, I, as the founder and leader of the cause, would like to formally invite you to become an official member of our Party. I assure you that, with you’re experience and you’re widely know skills, you will quickly rise through the ranks, and will be specially considered for high ranking positions within the party hierarchy.

I’d have delivered this message myself, but, as the leader of a major party and movement, I’m afraid that I haven’t had the time, and so have entrusted it to one of my supporters. In any case, such menials tasks are below such a high ranking and important person such as myself.

Anxiously awaiting you’re reply,
Sincerest Regards,
Schme, President of the Authoritarian Party of Cantr
1st Delegate of the Central Party Committee]

“Now, Comrades, as you may have heard, a question has come been posed to us as a party regarding doctrine and policy from a concerned Cantrian. I am glad to be given this opportunity to clarify our party’s position. The question was this specifically.”

Blackdeath wrote:...will their be refreshments? free refreshments?

“I, personally, am in full support of the Party providing free refreshments to all party members AND party applicants, to be obtained using party funds, donations and extortion, and feel that it is in the best interest of the party to found and staff a branch of the party specifically dedicated to this. I would like to here our members opinions on the matter.

Comrades, this concludes my official address. Remember, we must all constantly strive for the good of our Party, our goals and our ideals.

Power to a select and exclusive group of people!”

(Applause.)

The President yields the floor.

*slowly stands*
"Comrade President.... comrades.... As you know, I am a man of actions and not words, but I thank The Party for the confidence shown in me and I vow that I, and the Grey Guard, will give our (virtual) lives in pursuit of power for the party and upholding the principles of true Schmeism. Re-educating the masses will be a hard job with hard choices, but a task to be undertaken with joy in our hearts, strength in our arms and devotion for our beloved Chairman.

On the issue of refreshements, what could be more refreshing to the soul than the words of our glorious Leader, but as for physical sustinence I would not object to the provision of bread and water from time to time. Only those ideologically pure are able to withstand the contamination of the pleasures of the flesh, and so at this time Comrade President Schme will be happy to relieve you of your burdens of fine foods, alcohol and other substances and you can feel safe in the knowledge that you are furthering the aims of the party."

"Thank you Comrade President, *slight bow* Comrades."

*sits down to polite applause which increases in volume after a few pointed stares*

I am a man of actions and not words

That is kind of simailar to:
As I said before I never repeat myself.

and:
I've said it once, I've said it a thousand times, don't exagerate.

Canadians only seem all peaceful and honest because the violent, dishonest ones either go work for the postal service or stay inside and play Cantr all the time.

It's pretty much the same for the Polish, except the dishonest ones are ALL playing Cantr all the time.

Sort of, but not quite. Those others are really more of self contradictory statements, whereas saying he’s not a man of words means rather that he prefers to take practical action rather then sit about and discuss what needs to be done at great length.

(He he, TED. Nice.)

(Claps in a dignified manner for Phalynx’s speech.)

“Very well said, Comrade. I look forward to seeing you’re organization in action.

Comrades, let us rejoice, for much progress has been made for the movement today. I am glad to see such zeal and efficiency on behalf of our esteemed members for the cause.

As we must all be getting back to work of acting on our goals and moving the cause forward, the Third Meeting of the Central Party Committee is now adjourned.

Let us move forward, Comrades, forever forward for the power of the movement!”
