Lower spawning age to 15 or 16
Some newbie(s) was/were complaining that twenty-year-olds are not taken seriously though they're already 20. But in many cases, even though the newspawn had the skills and most of the knowledge equal of that of the older characters, they're still helpless and definately minor, at least socially. Very rare of them act mature enough to be considered 20. So I propose the age of newspawners should be lowered to late teens. That would also make it easier to tell more mature 20-somethings apart from overgrown babies straight out of the bushes. Anyone under 20 would be referred to as a man/woman in his/her teens.
I have the feeling this'll be shot down... But nah.

I like this idea. There are some things IG which a middle teen could make easier than a grown up, i.e. building a bone knife? or collecting mushrooms?
So why not give some opportunities to youngsters? There would be more time to play characters, and give 'em a more realistic personality, since it's determinated in teenage years.

Just 2 questions looking for an answer:
1) Works for what?
2) Why not being younger at spawning time?

I don't much like it. It would just feel weird playing mid/late-teens. It also kind of messes up the 'a man/woman in their twenties' thing. What would it be called? 'a boy/girl in their teens'? I figure such an age range will be addressed when they finally (if ever) implement children. Anyway, yea, I agree with Sarah. Twenty doesn't automatically equal needing to be treated seriously or as mature. That should be earned by characters, at any age.

I kind of like this idea. With the current system, a newspawn looks the same age as a character that's been around for nine years. If spawns start in their late teens, it's easy to see that they're newspawns, which could be beneficial because it could explain the behavior of new players who aren't familiar with the game yet. Then by the time they're in their twenties, they are more familiar with the game. This change would allow characters to get respect more quickly because they are no longer the youngest age group, and the new youngest age group, teens, won't have to stay the "young people" as long as before.
