I waited nearly a week before bumping it again, I am excercising some degree of patience.

Although the whole concept has me rubbing my hands together as if in anticipation of a present. Or like an evil mastermind. Mostly both.
Reality was never my strong point.

Buildings on boats are currently being developed. A requirement for some additional programming was identified yesterday and RD are working out building criteria and how they work . It won't be too long before they are available.

Will you be able to control the boat from inside the building? (cockpit)

No that is not planned. Control of existing types of boats will be from the deck

I'm sure that I've seen a boat with a storage room on it before, but when I try to see if it's possible I can't even access the 'buildings' list. This is really disappointing because there should be some way to keep just anyone from messign with the ship's controls.

Is it only certain types of boats that allow this, or what?

Some very old boats have cottages and the like built on them. This was disabled as it was always buggy, and now they're working on reimplementing buildings on boats. But I haven't got a straight answer as to whether it works yet or not.

BUMP!

Sorry, I just really wanted to do that.

I can't wait for like, a captains cabin or something. I'd love to begin ploughing the high seas with a ship with a shrine to Alra attatched...

now is pretty soon, and cabins on boats are going to happen in even a shorter time than when i wrote that ...

They are in the hands of RD now , who ae just finalising capacities and building requirements. Then they have to be tested

No that won't change for existing boats . No immediate plans of new type either
