Now, how would you know, unless you were a 3,000,000,435 year old pink ape?

Thinking of it linerally I am negative 9437. I just can not get enough of this time period. Typing on keyboards. Two dimensional displays. Non-sentient workstations. Text based games. It is just all so quaint.

Hmm. I think I used to have a guy. But I couldn't ever get him noticed. Now, a girl, you can always get noticed. A few bats of the eyelashes, a couple of twirls of the hair, at least you get people talking to you. But, the girls all have completely different personalities. I've got a very feminine girl, who won't do much other than bake or sew or farm, and then a postwoman, and then a tomboy who is in the army, pretty good at her job too, might I add.

I used to have loads of male chars, but then I became rather attatched to a female charrie of mine, and she died, I made some girls to replace her. Mind you, I am a girl, but playing males is more difficult and more fun. One's got a girlfriend...a bit odd for me, but I just base him off of my boyfriend. *smiles*

My current males are...

Dair Cannaugh
Yaro Underbridge
Haveknott (no one knows his real name...but Haveknott's it.)
Maladict
Ham Dempsey

Exactly why I have no male characters. It's more difficult. And I don't have the time to put the extra effort in, and that means crappy roleplaying. Not gonna do that to myself or anyone else.

Though, I've been thinking about spawning a male, because I haven't had much homework lately...

Your femme girl wouldn't happen to live in Lake Village, would she? ^^ If so, she annoys me to no end.

I play an equal number of male and female charries, i tend to play the females as no nonsense, down to earth types who work for themselves, and the males as more submissive and willing to work for others and follow orders....

I play three women. One is a boyish military commander, and the other hasn't got off the ground yet.

The one that freaks me out the most is the girly tailor. After I read what I type, I can actually believe that a girl wrote it. So, in that respect, I make a good girl.

Kinda creepy  8)

I haven't had to RP loving a man yet, though. It's not that I've been avoiding the oppurtunity, it's just that my characters are conveniently relatively uninterested in... everyone 8)

Would it help if the player of the man was a woman? (My male characters tend to be terrible at getting company, or at least company that doesn't run away screaming after a while.)

[rant]
Oh, talking about annoying crossed-sex characters, Phoenix ran into this chick that turned out to be played by a guy. How did I find out? Because the player posted in a very rude manner, "ooc: I am a man, you
fool." (Doesn't it sound like I was being stupid for not realizing it somehow? But no, he wasn't playing that poorly that it would have been in any way obvious.)

It's true that my character was making advances on her, but in order to stick to the role, you needn't not to surrender yourself. I don't blame you for shrinking away from his touch. But when he got mad, and turned to violence instead, why did you have to break character, fall to sarcasm and unrealism?

There are millions of other options: run away screaming, start crying, curl up on a ball, attack him with your bare hands. But an OOC hit under the belt? That's really low. And if that person has so onesided image on how women should react, I would suggest that he should never start another female character.

You need to be prepared for anything. If you play a woman, people will react to her as a woman. Things may happen. Sexual things may happen. The same with guys. Heck, your male character might be assaulted by another man, or a woman with 200 grams of bananas. Your male character might be kicked in the crotch, your male character might be castrated. As long as the other person doesn't force a situation down your throat and gives you room to reply and make your own choices, play along.

I felt like telling this person, so what, I am a woman. See this, I'm a woman playing a male with a big sword and terrorising the region.
[/rant]

(For those who don't know, Phoenix died a while back. He died scared as he had lived for his final years, but less scared than he had been a few days earlier. And he died in the arms of another man, whom he felt attracted to, even though this person wouldn't realize the sexual shade of the matter. So, in a way he died a happy man.)

I do prefer playing my female characters though overall.

But my men have this odd way of attracting females even when they are not trying, maybe it's because I usually play them as what I WISH men would be like.

Good idea! I will think on doing that

That´s a good reason... Now I am discouraging myself to play a male character...

*shrugs* I play two women, and I met the player of someone who one of my women might have a relationship, and he was surprised that I was a guy. *score one for me*

I play a couple women actually. It's really not so hard, especially when I'm just basing their character off someone I know. Although it is a little weird when the whole sexual aspect coems into play... Not so much for me, because it's not like I'm actually do it or anything. What creeps me out is thinking of the person I'm basing the character off doing that...

Oh, that's so sad that Phoenix died. I think my character in Siom knew him (he's the Phoenix with the REALLY long name, yes?)

As for playing different characters, I play both male and female. And I've had one of each in explicit, er, relationships. I'm not sure if the other players knew or not. I'm pretty sure the guy my gal has flings with is a guy. The guy who had a quick relationship with a girl... I can't tell. I'm thinking the other player was a girl but maybe not.

To this day I'm not certain if the other players know what sex I am. I try to keep that a secret so it doesn't affect their role play with me--player to player. Yes, it should be character to character--regardless of what the player's sex is--but I can sometimes tell in the way certain characters are played the age and sex of the player behind the character.
