Heh... one of my chars spawned in a place that has Dutch and supposedly French and German places surrounding it, spawned less than a week (earth time) ago.
Remained there for a few days, then started travelling down a path to a place of which I forgot the name.
Then the great namewipe took place just before I got there, and there were only dead bodies and lots of agressive animals in that place.
And one unlocked building, simply named "Building One", to which I fled to make a bone knife and a club.
Well, with no-one there but me (all the bodies died of starvation [3], animal attacks [14], heart attacks [2] or unknown causes [1]) I reckon I'll be setting up a tradingpost, which will hopefully grow into a town.
Assuming that the bears and wolves and wild boars don't decide to impeach their new, hungry and already injured ruler.
As for a name... as player I considered some names for that place which at the least bordered on jack-assedness, but my char wants to pick a name that honors the dead.
Hm... "Doodswoud", "Dodenwoud", "Spirit Woods"...
Or maybe she'll just snap, go power-mad and call it "Mytown" lol... (most unlikely, going power-mad is more what the player would like... but the char is more stable than that.)

I am changing the name of Zuzi Hills to Ortonville most of the time I am the only one there I moved in years ago and spent about 3 and ahalf almost 4 years just burring people and spend most of the time there by myself trying to organize it and get some buildings built and a stockpile of local resources to trade those passing through who cant stay since theres no food.. I am also trying to build up a large supply of cooked food to trade those passing through currently I have a few guest but not much talking going on... Ortonville is the name of one of my favorite Hymnals but sounds more like a town name than a song to me
Who wants to be normal...... Normal means you are with the majority.. and I dont want to be with them......

There aren't any Fu Birds on that island, I hope.

Wow... another one of my chars found a place that might be abandoned, this time in the English-speaking part of the world which is more populated, in general.
I say "might be abandoned", because I only see several dead people, that died more than a year ago... but there's a locked building, named "(something something) Ranger outpost" or something along those lines - it doesn't match the names this char saw on outposts by the more respected rangers, and the dead bodies and items on the floor make me suspect it's a failed attempt to start up his own army of rangers, but still... for all I know, there might be a small army waiting inside that building.
I knoced, started gathering food (my char was about to starve), and if I don't see any reaction by tomorrow, my char is going to grab some land... heh...
Still, except for the potatoes, clay and stone, there aren't any resources there, except for wild animals.
Come to think of it... would a large population of animals indicate that a place might have been abandoned for a long time?
There are 13 bears, 11 wild boars, hawks (more than 10), and rabbits (also more than 10).
On the other hand, it could be one of those places where they are against violence, and consider animals as people, too...
"Good morning, mister bear... WHAT THE... *GROAAAAARRRR... CRUNCH*"
