New ingame message ...

Postby EchoMan » Tue Sep 20, 2005 9:12 pm

"The more the merrier definitely holds for Cantr: more people is more traders, more employees, more soldiers, thus altogether more possibilities to get your goals reached in the game ..."

Yeah ... 10 newspawns clogging up all food production (which is capped) with 15000g food projects and the regular population starving to death... I'm not sure that's merrier for the community I am referring to here. We had something going for this place (a rather new thing) now everyone will be leaving due to overpopulation and food shortage.

Edit : More might be merrier i Cantr City or Alenz Hills, but not for the average small village.

Oh come on I wrote the word nut. Schme says the F word all the time, at least mine are funny.

Actually, the word f-ck has become exetremly abstract and near meaningless nowdays, at least to a degree.

What you say, on the other hand, is not, and no one really wants to here about your genitalia, at least, I assume not.

Well, they should both be censored.

The posts on this thread could be on-topic, rather than discussing any personal fixations with your own gentalia, and the virtues of various four letter words?

Yeah, hence my suggestion to allow for people to be dragged away from projects. A suggestion nobody really seemed to have noticed.

If you have your community starve thanks to newspawns starting projects, perhaps you should, you know, do something about it? Or start setting up resource runs to neighbouring smaller towns where there is more food?

Jos! Listen to yourself!

Are you implying that we... set up a community? A bunch of people that are interdependent on one another for survival?

Are you insane? That's absurd! Who ever heard of a community in Cantr?!

Oh wait... yeah... that's the point of the game 8)

As I wrote, a rather new thing, no advanced community as of yet, just a loose promise to help eachother and the village to improve. We have no really good weapons or armor, even if we had I don't think any of the people my character has met or my character for that part is prepared to kill people that are just hungry and a bit selfish. Nah, better go look for Cantr City or Alenz Hills (too bad they're on another continent, but heck, my char doesn't know that) and become a slave for food there.

As for resource runs, we had just decided that's what we should do (but not for food, since we DO have a big rice field!?). We were just about to gather 1500 grams of rice for the first guy going away, when we noticed that three new guys had spawned while we were talking about it and all of them now occupied our rice field. We now have got enough wood to grill 50g of meat and one or two man-days worth of rice left... Then I guess we're all back to travelling vagabonds or slaves for food in someone elses community.

Edit : Changed " no community as of yet" to "no advanced community as of yet"

slaves are a great thing... Empires were built on their broken backs...

Read my post above. My char don't kill people because they're hungry.

Thanks, you really enhance my point. Throngs of newspawns destroy new villages and strengthen the ancient empires. I appreciate the help. ;)
