This from the guy who says that all guys who like rear ends are secretly gay...
What does that not give me the ability to make a comment an an issue TOTALY different?
were starting to have a bit of animosity between us, eh?
That will do. This thread has stayed on topic this far, don't ruin it, let alone degenerate into flaming..

Solfius is quite right. Any more from you two on this issue, and I'll have to moderate...
Anyway, can those against say what is wrong with my suggestion? Or how nameplates wouldn't negate most of the negatives? I genuinelly want to know...

I'm still not sure how bad you all think this will be.
ok, so you forget all the buildings except for the location you're in currently.
That means when you go somewhere new you need to find the building you want, and ask the name of the place.
So you ask, you find out where you are, and which building you are trying to find, and that's it done, one off name change, just like character naming.
So, my question is what is so bad about that?

In large towns, that's all people would be doing, is naming buildings for visitors and people who have been out of town. It's bad enough with the pointing and naming of people. Would newspawns know the names of buildings? If not, then you'll find my chars hiding inside to avoid the constant naming that'll be going on.

I've never experienced any problem with lots of naming. If someone introduces themself I add their name, if not I leave it unless I want to know it.
However, unlike people, buildings will have signs, which people can read to find out the name, which I think satisfies your concern as there would be no need to continuosly name and point.

@ Nick, and have a note thief steal it every several days? No thanks.
@Solfius, and to copy and paste all those titles onto how you know the buildings? Some towns have upwards of 40 buildings!
It's already a pain in the arse naming chars...but buildings, locations, etc, too? I made this point clear before, and it is valid.
