I completely understand what it's like to be in a town that's like that. lol Doryiksom seems like one of those to me.
They wouldn't be able to kill the doryis I bet, though.
I have no idea what you mean by that. Who wouldn't be able to kill the Doryis? And what does that have to do with anything?
No, Wong is not the hugging sort. Hugging could get him killed.
What I was missing was any reaction at all. The only thing I got was "Interesting story" and one wise ass "Look at the notethief go! Following in your footsteps Wong?"
You think that people in the town there who have been living under the the rule of a pair of councilors and they suddenly learn he was a note thief, one of the most despised things in cantr, would have had SOMETHING to say about it, but no. Apparently, Dory is just a place for them to get thier food and keep thier stuff. That's it. We don't have big hoops to go through, not buerocratic, pretty easy going. Peaceful town, and it's gotten surprisingly big.
And the people, they are complacent. I thought better of them
He's retiring............And he obviously made it sound as though he had changed.
So they should be angry, because he was human and made mistakes but was also able to turn his life around? Why would they be angry when he's already said he's not running again. Can't change the past. lol No offense, but not everyone just spawns and automaticly hates note thieves. Most common hated types of people? My characters spawn seeing people as people. People=capable of good and bad both. Complacent? Not a chance.
The truth of it here is this......It has nothing to do with dolls tea party. What do you want from your leader? Most people want a leader who they can relate to. If the majority of your town is people who act like real people, patting each other on the back or giving a hug? Well....chances are that they're not going to relate to Wong so well.
Just because your swimming fools and sighing seaside beauties don't talk politics, doesn't mean they don't have agendas/preferences/interests in them. They're more apt to discuss them privately. I've come to find that the people who sit by the lake/sigh whatever, become life-long workers.
Your speech wasn't as inspirational as it could have been if you were speaking to the proper crowd---IE a criminal you were trying to reform. It applies to younger people in some small sense.
I think, re-reading what was said, I feel more like he's self absorbed. "Quitting Councilor position so I can do things for me..." "I did this." "I' "I" and you can do it too. Where's the..."You're bright young people and our future, and I hope you'll all consider_____blahblahblabhlabh" Motivational speaking or whatever.
