Thanks, that's what I was getting at.

Of course Bike Carts would still be manufacturable, just in stages, like everything else.

Bikes and bike-carts are practically useless. Tandems are the only way to go.

I disagree, although i dont have any. I think Riksha's are the way to go.

Is that even spelled right?

Thus, a new look at these vehicles would be a good idea.

I think Riskjah's only work on roads, so that might be a problem for some people.

Though, you'd think by the time they have iron/steel, they'd have sand.

I have a character with a tandem bike, a character with a Riksjah, and a character with a bike cart, and I've got to say... the bike cart kinda sucks. They overload much faster than you would expect. However, tandem bikes cost about twice as much as regular bikes, so if you're not rich from the days of cheap iron it's not so easy to get a tandem bike.
Yeah, regarding the physics: what something can hold is ONLY connected to its structure. Hence, a bigger bike can carry more on, er, somewhere. That's a little weird to think about but it's so fundamental to cantr you can't exactly discard it.

Why not? With better programming it could be discarded. A bike cart should be able to carry more goods than a tandem but not an exta person. The justification for the expense of a tandem should be precisely that it can carry two people.

I find it amusing that sometimes people use real life physics to justify absurdities of game balance in Cantr, and then the next minute emphasize how different Cantr is from real life in order to justify absurdities of Cantrian physics.

What we have now seems to be a lot of fancy names for different bikes but, thanks to serious game imbalances, only one is worth anything. In other words, something is wrong.

People weight less than irl, that's what's wrong. Or that's the impression I've gotten.

Yeah me too. But does the rubber requirement support that? Or are wheels made separately nowadays? I've never made a vehicle and I'm too lazy to check.

Why dont they just make it like a stone or wood extension but a cart isnt that the same effect your looking for?
