Well, I don't think that General Sester Gartaf will be unhappy about hearing Captain Midgey and his men's death since they were loyal to Parker and not him. Also, considering Parker sent them to kill General Gartaf and the guardsmen loyal to him. Too bad, General Gartaf already returned to Ladvicitavoi before they got to Xiria Forests. So, in a way DoUrden Estates helped General Gartaf but in another way DoUrden Estates has shown that it could be a threat to the Alexian Empire.

But things are always changing in that region and so we might see something new tomorrow.

BAh, I have a private who's been an active pvt of the imperial guard, (part of the guard protecting from the time Blackbeard was expelled) and after 2 whole years, of above the normal workload (handling civil duties, chasing crooks), is still a buck pvt, while ppl in Lad, get promoted like that. Some sorta shape that is...

:D Yeah, I had a char in the guards for Lad. The highest rank he got was a corporal around when Alexi died, not much longer after that he fininally got promoted to a corporal after about 4 years of serving. While he looked around all these newer recriuts were getting really higher rankings than he was and he served then for 6 years and still a coporal, then he was sent out to an outpost where he was forgotten for about another year or two untill he was attacked by some enemies and fled then attacked by other soldiers of lad by mistake till he finally just died...

From what I've heard, the best way to describe Lad's way of working is "flexible", which I guess is why you get odd occurances like seasoned veterans overlooked, and new recruits fast promoted.

Well the size of Lad doesn't help either, since my chars are all at outposts, miles from the Capitol... If only BlackBeard came back to shake things up!

Rome was similar. Constantly sending out poltical appointment from the capital to run capaigns and town at the anger of the seasonsed genreals and governors.

Don't think Naron isn;t fighting that. It's sad when your highest ranking officer there is a Cpl. Right now we have Major Lux there so I'm hoping to pull out a promotion. You don't have very far to advance in Naron. We need some higher ranking officers.

I'd say, we HAVE 10 FRIGGEN PVTs, 3/5s of them are inactive and also are brand new! One day, I assure you, its gonna become a seperate state...

Don't know how that is Sester's problem. Sester is in Lad. preparing for the invasion of Naron. Since the Imperial Guard who went to Naron are long overdue it is believe that Naron is still in the hands of the rebels and Alenz Hills soldiers. Plus, how can Sester promote anyone when he doesn't know they even exist or are even alive.
