Useless IG Things Questions

Postby TatteredShoeLace » Mon Jul 18, 2005 10:16 pm

Since we've now changed the Capital Rule and OOC info, can a staff member list tools, machines, and other resources which are tecnically useless? Like brooms, rope machines, etc?

I had to build a twiner, a spindle, small rope machine, medium rope machine, large rope machine... then collect cotton to make thread to make string, to make rope, to make medium rope, to make large rope... then make more medium rope.

... to make things worse, I miscalculated the amount I needed and made the project twice as large as it should have been, clogged the machine and just decided to make another large rope machine.

Also, you couldnt use hemp to make string at the time, so i used up all my cotton in a land that used to have cotton and then it was taken away. So i used up all my cotton (when now I coulduse hemp) and made a machine that doesn't do anything cause you never know what somethings gonna do till you make it, cause that show we invent things, we follow a blueprint and just sit with popcorn after you turen the thing on to see what pops out.

Oh yeah, then I needed cotton to make a bed but i used it all up so I almost had to make a cot. How can I sleep on a cot, I need a bed, its a status thing.

I really wish we could get more use out of furniture in game. I also agree that it sucks that most Cantrians are just sleeping on cots. What can we do to make beds, tables, chairs, etc more favorable other than simple roleplaying benefit?

I think tiredness might not be set high enough. *Steals all crowbars in Cantr and runs for his concrete underground bunker.*

...and maybe we could wear two eye patches to make it darker and our rest would be more sound.

I was hoping we could start a "Breathing Project", maybe we could use one of those nose band-aids to double the productivity.

I agree but right now, with the insanely high repair rates in effect, if my chars were any more tired they would just die of exhaustion (in the form of me hitting the cancel account button). So I thank Jebus every day that tiredness is so low right now.

Or if beds are no longer needed for tiredness, could we at least use them to replace natural healing? (Which should never have been taken away in the first place, but since we're now stuck with a system that makes no sense and useless furniture at the same time we might as well have a partial solution for both problems at once...)

Yeah, that's another thing. I was told that the lack of natural healing was a bug, and that it would be fixed. Was I lied to? *big puppydog eyes* (closest thing I could come up with)

It lets you mix "mixtures" (like Mixture A). The properties of such mixtures is unknown.
