You can hit people on vehicles now, and you can hit people from a vehicle. That bug was fixed awhile ago.

Glass vs. Window glass

Postby Surly » Wed Jul 13, 2005 10:31 pm

At HF's request...

Question: I am working on an old project that needs "glass". Will window glass work?

Answer:
The Surly Cantrian wrote:1. You can find the glass. There is enough actual glass out there from the olden days to finish your car.
2. Contact the RD, and you can arrange a short period where your, er, glass producing machine will produce glass instead of window glass. Then they'll change it back, but you still have your project for glass.
3. Complain to programming. Repeatedly. Until they change the project to require window glass

Actually, only answers 1 and 3 would be plausable. Resources Department can't edit projects.

You misunderstood me... By co-ordinating with the RD, it is possible to agree a short time where they change what the glass oven will make. Then you start a project for the required amount, and the RD changes the machine back. You still have your glass project.

I'm not sure if this is a bug but once a day everyday in the morning never the afternoon, I'm unable to sign in to Cantr or go on the forums... It only lasts about 10-20 minutes every time but somtimes it'll kick me out of the forum when I'm trying to post somthing. After that I have to start all over...

There is a full backup of the Server which Cantr runs on daily at around 14:30 GMT (2.30pm) . The Game and Forum will be unavailable whilst this is going on.

So here in the UK it happens around half 3 in the afternoon. Probably around 9.30am on East Coast of America

Thats just over 3 hours before the time of this post

So it isn't a bug... And 9:30 sounds right actually. It's a pian when I'm typing up a long post.

It's more of a pain if something terrible happens to the game, and we don't have a recent backup to revert to, don't you agree? :P

Remember the memory lapse when the database corrupted? It'd be like that, but way worse...

Well, depending on what happened.

If, in effect, we lost the game and reverted back from an old save... and just COINCIDENTIALLY some player (That we all hate, of course) lost all their characters and account, well then, the benifits will outweigh the cost. :)

I was thinking more along the lines of a tasty subject, usually made with dough and apples. Or just happens to be an infinite number starting with 3.14.

Thinking that.

C'mon lads, grow up. Pick on someone your own age.

Just to clarify: west means physical age (not intellectual, emotional or sexual). Please return to your regularly scheduled whinging (look! I used a word in Canadian!).
