And in that dream of ours. Brad Pitt plays me in that movie. Ha ha, I get to be his stunt double. No wait, he is my stunt double, ya, that's it.

Ceder point, brings back some good memories. I have to get back there some day... Also Missy I am reasonably familiar with Pennsylvania and have yet to see Hawaii there. Must be a really small town. :D

Like, for example, if you had the money, will you build a castle? Will you help other people?

What are your dreams, your fantasies? What are your goals in life?

Where do you see yourself 10 years from now?

One at a time:

What I really want to do but can't due to the money (/time): climb mountains , do mountain biking (and road biking), skiiing, kayaking, backpacking, etc.

What I'd want to buy (besides the things necessary to do that stuff) a hybrid car, my dream house built into the side of a hill in the wilderness-ish but within a few hours from a city, with solar and geothermal power and my own vegetable garden, huge windows and of course a fully wireless home network with kickass speakers

There will also be a room of the house that has grass instead of carpet, and there will be at least one room with a tree growing in it, and the kitchen and bathroom will have pebbles instead of tiles, and there will be secret passages and secret rooms deeper in the side of the hill.

Although first I'd put my six siblings through college and pay off my parents' house and buy them a new car and make sure my dad can retire to a life of playing the bagpipes and my mom can concentrate on her writing.

I would also hire an assassin to kill Tom Cruise and someone to slap George Bush, Michael Moore, and Ann Coulter with a trout. Preferably in that order, using the same trout.

My dreams/fantasies? Well, I won't say them out loud

But I'd eventually like to get married and move to the aforementioned house out in the country, and do freelance magazine writing while I write novels and short stories.

In ten years I'll probably be living in New York, working for a magazine. Or I'll be fantastically wealthy due to the overnight success of my first novel

(Incidentally, Home to me also = PA)

If I had a million dollars....I'd be rich! Alright, that's pretty sad, ya'll page two of this thread and NOBODY can throw out the obligatory BNL homage? :? I'd eat Kraft Dinner with the finest Dijon ketchups.

With a million dollars in the bank I would probably just work as a high school science / math teacher and use my fortune to make sure I didn't starve to death. I'd spend my weekends playing with the kids, having quality time with the wife, and tinkering with my research projects, which would finally be a fun hobby and not my job! :D Pretty simple life, really, just no worries when it comes to money.

I never answered the question myself

If I had the money, I'll buy a Mitsubishi Eclipse.. I love that car!!

I'll build a school, a good one, because we don't have many good schools here in Egypt (except for the one I went to 8) :P )

I'd build a big three houses that are very close to each other... One house for me and my family, another for my brother and his family, and the last one for my parents. They will have one big beautiful garden and we would have breakfast every day in it.

I'd travel around the whole world, and will build myself a big wardrobe in my big house, and fill it with gorgeous clothes.

Of course, I'd help the poor and the sick, and probably give them a monthly salary, just because I can.

As I said earlier, 10 years from now, I'll be running my own advertising agency, my husband (my boyfriend now, hopefully) will run it with me, and we will have three great kids, one of them will be called Rola, because my dead sister wanted to call one of her daughters Rola.

Speaking of my dead sister, she always wanted to buy a horse, so, in her memory, I'll buy a horse, and call it Hoda, after her.

I guess that would be all. That would make me satisfied. Is it too much?

I would buy a beautiful expensive violin. :D I would spend the rest of my life traveling and spending time in other places. :) It would be great to spend years in different countries that are different from my own, especially if I found a husband or friend to go to all those places with me. But before traveling, I would get a very good education, because that is very important to me, I think, to feel any satisfaction with my life.

It's impossible for me to imagine 10 years from now, I can't even think of 5 years from now. . . . Maybe I would be teaching violin, English, or some kind of social science at a university. :) That's the only career I can really imagine doing right now.

I would buy a violin also, so then I could go to expensive restaurants and play (with no lessons) until they kicked me out. LOL, now that is entertainment.

If I had 1 million dollars, first I'd get rid of any debt my parents may have and then buy them each a new house and car. Then I'd invest $250 000 into a compounded interest savings account (prolly bi-monthly) and let that grow and live off the interest. Anyway I'd prbably have around $500 000 left after that so I'd probably take half of that and divide it into like 3 and send it to some charities. Then put the rest in the bank for fun and emergencies... Then I'd pass down the $250 000 in my savings to my children and my wife when I die (if I have a wife / if shes still alive).
