My Html code won't work in my notes

I typed:

<color="FF0000"> HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH </color>
When I read the note, the letters were white... When I took off the closing quotation mark the text disapeared all together. Anything else just left the letters white...

Edited : I just checked my bolface, italics, and underlines. They work.
