No, Will Smith is and always will be the Fresh Prince. I'm not talking about the TV show, man.

By the way, Switch is terrible. I hate that song. It's not even hip hop. It's techno pop.

His new albums not so bad, but it's got nothing on his old stuff.

Some fairly ecclectic reccomendations from myself and a few punk/goth/deathrocker mates.

Tom Lehrer - Perodic table song, poisoning pigeons, irish ballard, etc.
Iron Madien (dance of death, wicker man, aces high, clansman....)
Venom - Skool Daze, Teachers Pet. (I know Mantas, he's my Sensei.)
The Clash - London Calling, Should I stay or should I go, Rock the Casbar
The Jam - Eton Rifles, Going underground
The Who - Substitute, Who are you?, My generation, pinball wizard.
The Dammed (anything)
Cpt Sensible - Happy Talk, While Wrecking the Car.
Joy Division - Love Will Tear Us Apart
Rammstein - Du Hast
Nightwish - Over the hills and far away
The Smiths-Jack the Ripper
David Bowie- Space Oddity.

Yeah, Tom Lehrer has some great songs. "Poisoning Pigeons in the Park" makes me laught every time I hear it, and is right up there with "They're Coming To Take Me Away" by Napoleon XIV.

You have to add Johnny Cash.

The Dresdon Dolls
A Dozen Furies
Senses Fail
The All-American Rejects
Lucky Boys Confusion

Just a few that I like.

Well like everyone else I listened to just one song to see what I think and this is the results.

-Lucky Boys Confusion 'Hey Driver' - A good song. I have never heard of these guys before but they sound pretty good. (My wife Darscilla loved this song.)

- The All-American Rejects 'Swing Swing' - I have heard this song before but did not know who it was. It was very good. (Darscilla was singing... Not good people)

- Senses Fail 'Buried a lie' - Another very good song. I have never heard of them or the song before.

- A Dozen Furies 'Push Away' - Ha ha, well it first started off and I had to turn my hearing aide down, LOL, it is a joke people. I used to like this kind of music a long time ago. (Darscilla gives it a thumbs down, the only part she liked was the chorus.)

- The Dresdon Dolls - I still have not heard anything from them.

Oh and this is way off of the kind of music I listen to. Ha ha, but it was good hearing them. Thank you.

The Dresdon Dolls..

They have a very interesting sound to them, they have a song called "coin Operated Boy" I find that is a good song.

Someone mentioned Punjabi MC? That's definatly an album to listen to...

Also (and plugging my favourite band here...) There are some good remixes of MUSE out there - look for the Sunburn and Newborn remixes.

Now for some of my favourite Indipop (Indian) dance bands - Bombay Vikings - Annamika - The biddu Orchestra and Malkit Singh

Also look for MARTHA and "Paula Wild and Wild Rebels" - some Czech pop...

I can't remember the artists - but "French F*ck" (without the asterix) is a bit of a weird, but in a good way, track I've come across

Oh - and finally - see if you can download any of the WipeOut soundtracks (Playstation games) - they're really good - and often feature exclusives by the Chemical Brothers/ other people I can't think of right now...
Whoever you vote for.

Okay I didn't even get a chance to read this whole post when I checked out the MUSE songs you said and well I have not heard them yet but one is done by Timo Maas and the other by Paul Oakenfold so you get my vote. Okay now I am going to have to read the rest of this post. LOL

=== Okay I read it and I have one of the WipeOut cd's and it is very good.

I'm afraid I do not understand. It is likely just me. I am sort of slow on the uptake sometimes. Could you perhaps elaborate on what it is you mean?

Uh... like where you were born? That's my guess.
