Finally someone esle who believes that everyone who posts in the word ping-pong thread should be shot, stoned, shot again, set on fire, shot again (maybe a bazzoka this time), nailed to a cross and tossed off a high building. Then maybe have their accounts locked.
Anyway, I'm not saying stop this thread it should continue but start another one as well. I'd love to play a fantasy setting. I'd have to work on a story though. So give me some thinking time, Surly, and PM me if you have any ideas of your own. Perhaps we can both handle the NPCs that way it will be twice as fast.

It would be fun, I suppose. Different from this though. I'd help make one, if you like, and you are going to do much of it. I always did love fantasy books. Always used to read, I think it was, Robert Jordan. Anyhow, if you are going to do it, and want any help, give me a holler. But this one is my main priority as far as computerized games go.
And I don't mean to be a prick, but perhaps this should be in another thread, now that it (the idea) has come this far.

Why do people keep talking all in stars in the third person? It's enfuriating.
Anyhow, thought I'd just throw this in for those who want.
I know in the game, the character description of life and such is supposed to be short, as they are. But many people create characters of great depth and complexity (and some not so much, although this game has found me greatly satisfied) and with great huge backrounds, et cetra et cetra.
I know also that they are based on your selves (I was hoping, at least.) But I don't know you guys.
Anyway, what I was getting at is, if anyone has any great childhood thing or huge experience or backround to there characters they feel like delving into, here's the place. I'm always interested.
Just thought I'd put it out there.

I am not sure if that is an attempt at sarcasm or not Schem. In any event, one of the problems with IM versus conversation is that you lose non-verbal cues as well as some verbal ones. For example, If I had heard what you said instead of just reading it I might have been able to pick up from the tone of your voice if you were being sarcastic or not.
Various techniques have been created to aid in online understanding, for example the Emoticon (smiley). If you had a smilie in your message, I would have assumed you were being sarcastic and not written this... Using * to enclose an action is another technique to aid in online communications. Since we are describing our actions as someone would observe them, we tend to use third person.

Again I ask that if you no longer intend to play, you tell me. If you do and just intend on taking a long while, that right also, take all time you need, but I just thought it a good idea to see who it is still playing. Anyhow, if your still playing, or your not, please tell me. Thanks!

Racetyme, glad you are on board, but you must have to put more backround on the character.
If you need example, look at some of earlier defunct characters. Good backround on most of them there is.
Welcome to game.
(Another note here. Seeing as this game died in the October of 2005, none of the other posts (before then) are nesscerary reading, should you be playing after that.)
