How old must you be to play Cantr II?

Postby Radical Ed » Wed Jun 29, 2005 4:55 am

I wasn't sure how old you have to be to play Cantr II, I I thought I should ask.

And also, how long does it usually take for the staff members to review an application? Because there can't be someone waiting at their computer to review applications 24/7, can there?

Sorry if I sound like such a n00b. Heh.

There's no set minimum age to play Cantr II.
We have had players as young as 10 that I know of, although I would recommend you be old (or mature, rather) enough to be able to handle the occasional adult theme, and to be able to roleplay characters consistently.

Your application will usually be processed within a day. If you provided an inaccurate email address, though, as at least a half-dozen applicants do every day, you will never get your approval.

Welcome.

Thank you and thank you. (And thank you again, for welcoming me.)

I wasn't sure, because I checked out the stats in the 'zine, and it didn't have any ages under twenty, so I was confused. But, yay! I only have to wait around a day. (Assuming I'm accepted of course. T.T I'll be heartbroken if I'm not.)

((By the way: I absolutly love your avatar. =3))

Hahaha, that's because the characters in game start at age twenty.

.... -_- Well, I thought they were talking about the players' ages, not the characters'. I knew that the characters start at age twenty.

I don't believe we reject too many people. It's mostly a matter of figuring out if they already have an account, I believe. Often people are impatient and sign up more than once before their application is processed. And of course it is not allowed to have more than one account. (15 characters should be more than enough  )

hmm I always thought it was you lol.

Welcome
For the age thing, I also think it would be better if (I'll say more educated instead of mature cuz there are a few ... anyhoo) because of some of the conversation that happens. I still find myself going throught the dictionary almost everyday just to understand what some people are saying.
Wish I'd paid more attention in school

Correct, we only refuse accounts if we have strong suspicions that it concerns a second account or a double application, or a player who was banned from the game (which is *very* rare).

Radical Ed, you just heard it from the Man himself, the head honcho, the Supreme Mugwump of Cantr. So that's canon, as they say

This is why I think that approval should be based on a script of some sort, instead of relying on the Players Department.

If they don't past the script test or whatever, then that subscriber can be dealt with by the Players Department. But people who are not making multiple accounts should mainly be processed right away. I think this is one of the main reasons that we have so many people idling out right after subscribing.
