*backs away from Mikki a bit* Wait... this sounds more like a personal matter now... Mikki. If this is more about your relationship with the captain than about the actual killings then I don't agree with you trying to convince other crew members that the Captain is responsible for the murders.

Tell me this isn't just about you and the Captain...

You are all being completly rediculous! All of you! You are about to do it again! Look at this! This bloodlust! Fools! On what do you base any of this?

The captain? You accuse the captain? What has he done to merit such suspicion?

And me, a threat to the mission? I can assure you, that is as far as anything can be from the truth, and I do not know where that comes from. What is a threat to the mission, my friends, is the unbased and randomised murders that are being commited, and the absolute refusal of a great deal of our crew to co-operate in apprehending the culprit! Are you people happy with the current arrangement? Disorganized, vulnerable, killing people left and right without reason?

Doing something UNLIKE ME, Doctor Sparkle? What in god's name have you done? What? Voted to kill our friend and captain for no reason? I have tried to organize us, and you have done but stood in my way without making any move to improve or to find good alternative to my suggestion. And what is all this whispering about, eh? You and Mikki? What is it that you have to say to each other that cannot be said out loud for all to hear, huh? If it is not something bad, why must you whisper it, eh? Answer me that. In fact, why is anyone whispering if they have nothing to hide? If you have done or do not plan to do anything wrong, then why do you hide? How's this sound. No more whispering. How about that?

My friends, I implore you, listen. By randomly ejecting our comrades into space, we are doing but helping the culprit to eliminate us. We must, for our own survival, organize! If not consolidated under one person, then at least

Come now friends, listen here. We must act rationaly and logically. Let us not do anything to the good captain, in fact, let us do nothing before analysing current events. People have been whispering left and right, and all of a sudden the good captain's life is forfeit. Sounds like plotting to me, rather than actually trying to solve anything. Mikki and Sparkle seem to be VERY anxious to see some people killed, and to stand in the way of organizing to stop the murderers, and Dee seems to be blindly following them. Others have made mistakes and acted foolishly. However, it seems to me that if anyone has reason to be suspected of intending and attempting to kill off the senior crew members, it is Mikki and Sparkle. Now I am not saying that they have done it. But it looks to me as though they are dead set on stopping any organizing AND having someone accused and killed. And we have all seen them whispering amongst themselves constantly. Why is that?

It is impossible to describe how difficult it is for me to say this, as I consider myself a peace loving man. But I have a duty to try my very best to resolve this, on several levels. Legally, for the sake of the mission, and for the sake of my fellow citzens. Morally, as I hate to see injustice inflicted upon others, namely the crime of murder, and of self preservation, as I, personally, do not wish to die. But the only people who seem to me to having been likely have had to do with these murders and the jepeordization of the mission is, well, Mikki and Sparkle.

*listens in awe to Schme's speach* Now I think everybody should listen to this man. Captain, I have no idea where you can vote for Schme, and I would correct SWYMIR's pronunciation of Schme's name... but there are more important matters at hand. I hope you don't mind Schme?

And anyway... although I won't commit my vote right now, I am very strongly leaning towards the Captain.

I thank you for your kind words, Nixit. I am glad you is be seeing what I mean. As I said though, I do not see why the captain is being accused of anything. It just does not make sense.

*she whispers to Schme, then looks at the group* This is not a personal matter. I was friends with him, and I have had a conversation with him when we first set out on this damn trip. He was the last person that I suspected until I put two and two together. *she looks down but speaks to the Captain* I am sorry Captain, but my vote stands as is..

Mikki says to me that she knows that for sure that Captain Surly has commited the crime, but that she cannot tell me how it is she knows. Mikki, it is YOU who is being stupid. If you have proof that the Captain has done anything, you had better present it right away, otherwise you are aiding him in commiting his crimes and leaving the possibility open for someone else to be falsely accused. Withholding information is not something that can be allowed, not with our lives at stake. So if you have ANY evidence, you present it immediatly, else you are putting all of our lives in danger. And please do not whisper to me. I would appreciate it if no one did that.

*she shakes her head at Schme* Well whoever I got the information from wants to remain silent, and because of you stating to everyone what I have told you, YOU have now put the lives of everyone on here in danger for accusing me.. To the person I got this information from, I hope you check on Schme next.. I have a feeling Schme is hiding things as well..

*mumbles* We're probably all hiding one thing or another...

Schme, why are you taking the captain's side when everyone is against him? Hmm? Are you hiding something?

Mikki has always been a good friend to me and I trust her, so that's why I vote for the captain as well... I'm not blindly following her she stares at Schme You know what, if I live until the next stasis, I am voting for you she points at Schme with anger in her eyes

Dee, you say that you are not blindly following your friends, and yet you move to have the captain killed on the sole grounds that your friends did. Don't lie, Dee.

And how very pleasant. You have stated your intention to kill me. What if the situation is resolved by then, eh? Then will you still kill me? Well, you have made it quite obvious that you are entirely willing to use the crisis to pursue personal vendattas, and are willing to murder people just because you do not like them. Not only does that disgust me, Dee, but it makes me strongly question your innoncence in all of this. And furthermore, I do not care in the least about what a person who will move to have someone killed on the sole grounds that her friends asked her too, thinks about me.

But at least now I know. Let us all remember! Dee is determined to have me killed.

He shakes his head

I retract my vote for Schme. We need to think about this... and Ensign, if you are so sure about me, why don't you tell us why? What's to stop me saying to Schme "I know it is Mikki, absolutely sure, but I can't tell you how."? It seems you ladies have formed a voting bloc against me... and that to me is more suspicious than any inactivity on my part.

He shrugs, and runs a hand over his tired face. He closes his eyes briefly, then opens them to look at Dee.

Dee, if you do not blindly follow, perhaps you would care to tell me why you vote for me? As far as I can tell, you are all voting for me because of my inactivty and the fact that Ensign Mikki claims to have had a relationship with me, a relationship I do not remember, including conversations no-one except her seems to have heard...

Dr. Sparkle, perhaps you would also care to elaborate on you reasoning? Or are you and Dee voting for me only because Mikki tells you to?

Do not worry about that, captain, the vote, that is. I am not surprised. You just voted for me as I am not yourself. No harm.

But yes. Ladies, hate me all you want, it does not matter, there's nothing I can do about it, but please, before we continue killing people, we MUST absolutly have reasons.

Now, do not get me wrong, everyone. I have nothing to prove captain Surlies innocence. I am not saying that it was not him. I am saying, we must at least act on some sort of thing, you know what I mean? I mean, using the logic used to accuse the captain, we may aswell just kill anyone at random. See, no one has given reason for anything. Dee, why do you want me dead? Why do you suspect me of murder? Tell us. And because I do not agree with your accusation for which you give no reason is not a valid reason.

Schme... do you have any suspicions? I am blinded by the fact that a clique is forming against me, it is hard for me to look beyond Mikki for anyone evil.
