I was a travelor, murdered by a powerful person
I was a theif with a heart, but was struck down by an animal before my prime
I was insane. struck with split-personality, I killed and ironically was murdered chasing a thif from the same town that I awaited trial

1) I am a world reknown Explorer, Encyclopedia Editor, Scholar, Observer, Cartographer, Historian and Merchant, keen on spreading the accessibility of 'knowledge' after leaving my post as Captain of the Guard of a town.

2) I am Guardian Ranger of the area in Cantr known for its piracy, schemes and power plays, with a younger man in my life, yet my wife doesn't seem to mind.

3) I am a mischievous lady who likes to adventure with her companion, from stealing pirate's goods to finding a new island altogether, which we are settling now.

4) I am the leader of a beautiful, streamlined and efficient forest, with its quirks.

5) I am running a town as the authoratative leaders are constantly pre-occupied.

6) I'm the oldest person (and therefore Guide) in the safe outpost a most devastated island, ravaged by beasts.

Nitefyre, did you take the name Thomas Hobbes from the real life person or from the other character in game named Thomas Hobbes that lived around the Quillanoi/Tircqi/Siom region? I'm just curious. I think he died but las time I saw him he lived in his building in Quillanoi. Somewhat of a recluse in later years. When Easle and Awaq were young he was a little more active in the region owning a business and being more involved in the politics. Does anyone know what happened to the other Thomas Hobbes? Did he die?

As I'm bored... I'll update my cryptic list...

1. Veteran of the later Lad conflict, has found love with a distant Queen, and is rethinking his life (turns 50 in the not too distant future...)
2. A former President who has developed a large distaste for other people. Stays inside most of the time now, brooding.
3. Fled his home after 25 years in search of a better life and a way to escape the memories that haunt him.
4. After finally leaving his boring mountain life, has now found love and has a family. One of the more radical changes in any of my characters lives... Has slight anger management problems...
5. An older guy who wasted most of his life... but suddenly found love, and now has it all to live for.
6. Trying to fulfil a legacy he practically worships, to bring glory to the name of a woman he loved - but who died over 15 years ago, and likely no-one remembers, and who didn't really know who he was.
7. Head of a religious order. Has found his religion in turmoil and disarray, and is planning to set it right.
8. Wanderer who has travelled for the past 10 years with his younger wife. Is finally heading home, so they can relax for a while before setting off again.
9. Ex-guard of a backwater nation, upset at changes and being passed over for promotion and actually demoted. Now moving on to try and find new direction in his life, based almost entirely around the feelings he has developed for one of the guards he used to lead.

11. Psychopathic killer who stuck on a boat with his partner in crime until they find land again
12. A leader of a large well-known city, who is trying to turn around years of disorganisation to reestablish a proud productive legacy
13. Member of a growing family who is still trying to figure out where over 25 years of his life went, and find some new direction.
14. Troubadour who has suffered an emotional battering recently, and is hoping the woman he loves might return his feelings for her given enough time.
15. My newspawn... has a job, a partner of sorts but little direction in his life. Is about to make a big decision about his life, based on the responses of others...

The real life guy is who I based it on. My other well known character's name is also based on another major Enlightenment figure, whose ideals contrased directly with Hobbes'. Guess who.

I am in my fourties. I am disillusioned because all the people I cared about were slaughtered a long time ago. I don't believe in love any more, yet there is this special someone that confuses me... if only she didn't sleep so much.
