I'm not even saying that only active people should play the game. I just don't think it's possible to play at all for just a few minutes per day unless the player has only one char and that char ignores everything that's going on in the town (i.e. doesn't read the events) or is inside working all the time or lives in a town where no one speaks.

It usually takes me an hour just to read all the events going on and that's if I'm not stopping to name people or rp. If I can't check from work then it gets really backed up.

If I were playing at such a minimum level I wouldn't even bother because it would just be boring and pointless (to me).

I am not and have never been inactive, but I only log on once a day (though more often now, in the summer) and I have leaders and characters with responsibilities . . . actually all 4 of my main characters have leadership roles or roles of responsibility, though only one really does more than clean the ground and deal with occasional problems. I would like to be online more often, but that is not possible. I keep my characters away from overly active towns (I absolutely could not get through the events page when one of my characters was in Siom), and that works well. It is frustrating when people expect an immediate response from you--or even a response in less than a day--or they expect you to be there at a specific time of day . . . and my characters have limited contributions to meetings or conversations, as I can't reply in a timely manner. Although frustrating to me and somewhat detrimental to my characters, it works. Cantr might be more interesting or exciting if I was one of you that are playing so long and so frequently, but in 3 years I haven't found it boring enough to quit. :)
