In fact both Napoleon and Hitler used his writings as propaganda to show that they will be successful. They edited out the parts where they lose in the end though.
Centuries of people have believed Nostradamus' predictions so this isn't some neocon conspiracy theory. His writings have been the most printed books in history and most widely read books. There have been more books on his books than any other book or subject in history.
