The Lexicon
Auspice- moon phase, typically describes personality and tendencies
Ahroun- Born of the Full Moon they are the warriors
Galliard- Gibbous Moon they are the moon dancers
Philodox- Half Moon they are the judges
Ragabash- New Moon they are the tricksters
Theurge- Crescent Moon they are the Seers
Rankings
Cub- New spawns or new members of the pack
Cliath- Members who have completed the Rite of Passage
Fostern- Members who have made their mark on the world and who are considered to be mature. They are expected to attend moots and fulfill their roles assigned to their auspice and their tribe.
Adren- Members who lead the Cantr nation in routine matters
Athro- Members who are widely known in Cantr nation other members come to them for advice and respect the answer that they are given
Elder- Not many members survive this long, they stand forth as paragons of their communities, receiving respect and obedience from all others
Pack rankings
Alpha- The leader of the pack. Commands respect of all other pack members
Beta- The second in command. In the absence of the Alpha maintains all matters of the pack. Their judgments may only be superceded by the Alpha
Station
Position that is filled within the pack and is expected to perform all duties therein
Keeper of the lands- maintains the Caerns general appearance and daily operations
Master of Challenges- Oversees all challenges for rank or office. Ensuring that all are treated fairly
Caern Warder- Coordinates the defensive efforts of the entire Caern. Also chooses the Guardians
Guardian- One who is charged with defensive and offensive efforts of the Pack or Caern
Moot
A ceremonial gathering or ritual. (To be described later)
Ronin
Someone who has chosen not to follow another pack but will aid one if in need. Deserving of respect as if a member of your own pack.
The Wyrm
Manifestation and symbol of evil, entropy and decay in Cantr society. A hindrance to progress and development

Greater in station, a suffix appended to a name

Never kill any creature where there are less than 4 of them. Even if it is a strong and violent one…
The senseless slaughter of animals may cause the possibility of their extinction.

Honor all Ronin for they follow their own path aid them as much as you can for they are worthy of it.
Following your own path may be difficult so we are obligated to assist in any way that we can as long as it is not too demanding or dishonorable…
Combat the Wyrm Wherever it dwells and wherever it breeds…
The Wyrm and it's minions are an obvious threat to humanity and to cantr. Destroying this threat is important to the development of all.
Respect the territory of another…
Introduce yourself upon entering another’s territory. Do nothing else till this is acknowledged. (unless of course your just passing through, none the less still introduce yourself after you enter and before you leave, Any violation of laws constitutes a violation of pack law. You will be subject to their laws of punishment as well as our laws of punishment.

Accept an honorable surrender…
Matters of leadership and honor are often settled by single combat. while this is the proper way to solve such problems, it is important that the combatants not die a needless death--Every warrior is needed. The loser of a duel loses nothing by showing his throat in surrendering to end a fight, And the winner is respected for showing his restraint.
Submission to those of higher station…
Every leader must have followers. A reasonable request from a higher ranking pack member are expected to be obeyed.
The first share of the kill for the greatest in station…
The Alpha feeds first from the kill. This is to include trophies taken from fallen enemies or harvest. I.E Greater station equals greater spoils.
You shall not eat the flesh of humans…
The act is a violation of humanity and an invitation to the corruption of the Wyrm
Respect for those beneath ye.All of our Cantr…
All are expected to treat every creature with respect for its place in the natural order.
Do not suffer thy people to tend thy sickness…
A dignified death is a private death. This is the way of wild creatures who are mortally injured or simply too old. It preserves the resources of the group for those who can best benefit from them, rather than waste them to extend a lost life…
OOC If you don’t want your character let someone know privately and you will be dealt with rather than commiting a crime so we can chase you and kill you that way.
The leader may be challenged at any time during peace…
For the good of the pack, a weak Alpha may not be allowed to remain in control. If no danger immediately threatens, any pack member of sufficient rank may challenge the leader for their position. A Duel will ensue, and the Alpha must cede their authority if they lose. Inappropriate or frivolous challenges may be ignored. I.E New spawn may not challenge for the Rank of Alpha, though they may challenge for a lesser position.
The leader may not be challenged during war time…
The strength of a pack is in its unity if even one pack member lacks in obedience may have dire consequences for the rest of the pack.
Ye shall take no action that causes a Caern to be violated…
DO NOT take action that would cause a security breach to our homeland.

I thought she was a very consciencious councilor in her time.
If it could, the Cantr world would still be ravaged by a couple pirates no one could get their hands on, and one of the major reasons I had for quitting a few months back wouldn't exist. Evil chars now are basically restricted to pulling cons and petty theift, Cantr has seen the end of great evil and therefore of the great heros.
