Project Having sex

Although I won't deny that I've had some sex RP, still, I do not think it is a good idea if it's implemented in the game. I really don't feel like talking about this topic, but what really matters is my final opinion about it.

So, my opinion is no, I do not like it. And, of course, you are free to do whatever you would like to do.

I did indeed forget to think about the cultural differences... But even if characters were having sex in public (though the description of actions was in whispers), you wouldn't have to check them out if you don't want to, by all means ignore it like you used to. In bigger locations even if you hit search for activities, a single sex project wouldn't stand out from the list unless you were especially trying to check out everything.

What I have learned that sex is a thing that should belong to marriage. In marriage it's a natural thing. But it seems nowadays at least on my region most people take a false start and test out partners before settling down. So did I (even though I had the delusion that I would eventually marry that guy afterwards, he dumped me, after that I've had a few others). Anyway, forming couples and trying to find a stable relationship is natural for most people. And it is not just for filling the Earth with your offspring.

Actually there are more reasons to check someones status in Cantr; to see what arms the other bears, to see if someone's (badly) injured, to see what project someone is working on, etcetera.

Not true. People find mates in order of a need to reproduce. Humans usually stay with a partner (not necessarily for life) because that's healthier, since a lot of dangerous diseases are being spread by sex (survival of the individual).

Because of the improving health care and the invention of condoms, the morals about sex are getting looser in the West.

There is actually no reason to start relationships in Cantr, because it has neither a positive influence on the survival of the species nor on the survival of the individual. The reason why there are relationships in Cantr is because we try to reflect our human nature on the Cantrians. We tend to forget however that the laws of physics that influence and form us do not apply to the Cantrians.

Ofcourse friendships can be explained in Cantr. Friends help each other (in surviving).

This is by the way the same theory that says that love is actually nothing more than a couple of hormones, created during the evolution of mankind to get them to reproduce. It's a bit... cold... I know....

Well I didn't read most of this convo, but from what I can tell from the origiona suggestion, I like the idea. Not due to sex, but because I imagine if this were implemented babies would also be implemented, so it might as well be reproduce button that has been thought of a million and one times. *Shrugs*

I think this is a crazy idea, I just think some folks want people to go look at their char's activity and say '*gasp* They're having sex!' RP it. You think folks won't walk around in Siom asking for 2 females and a kilo of leather? They'll realize that sex is no possible and do it EVERYWHERE. It's like that drug post, just another highlight to sniff for the very people we don't want in this game.

You want to get it on? RP it. Musical instruments are RPed by creative folk, some pretend to wear a pot on their head, and others even pretend to use scissors to cut their hair. Folks will RP making love, you don't need a project to do it. Besides, all work IG yields something beneficial, whether it is a resource or tool or rest, getting your freak on wouldn't do any of that, and last I'd checked, none of my characters have a mojo bar to maintain in their stats.

If this is implemented, I want these projects as well, because frankly it must be too hard to do:
Project throwing feces
Project playing with self
Project slamming head on ground
Project jiggling the handle
Project cloud watching

If and ony if children or spawns are introduced would this ever make sense. I still call it most bogus suggestion ever. I'd rather have a ....*sigh* Campervan.

IF there was a sex project it would be funny if it was incorporated in the skills system. And there could be a "sexual frustration" bar that slowly builds up over time and causes listlessness and lack of concentration thus slowing work progress.

Then those hos would finally be able to make a living and everyone could justify their public "whispering" or every town might have to build a "privacy" building.
