I started a project to repair only 1 trowel, not 2.
I'm not sad that this happened, it's just a bit strange.

What could have happened?

I've been seeing double when people arrive in town. One of my charries even arrived and then saw himself arrive :shock: :lol:

Yes. Event messages are being issued in double. Specifically, repairs and arrivals.

This is actually very serious. Not only are characters making double tools, in Seatown they have just completed a double building--there really are two buildings with the same address--and a moment ago all characters also ate double food rations.

Should we bother to keep playing, or will they have to bring it all down and back out to a suitable point?

Yeah, it is, especially for people who are low on food.
