No,

like mentioned before - too much extra work. This was suggested somewhere else - 'bout the fading, maybe by random re-placing of letters. I don't like it. It's difficult enough to come by ancient and informative notes anyways, and keep them together/interesting. Don't make things more difficult

How would it be extra work?

It seems the trend has changed around here. It seems about a year ago everyone was complaining or quiting over the fact that Cantr was too easy and now that changes have been made and new features implemented (which were from suggestions made by players at the time) everyone is dead set against changes and new features and are complaining about or quiting over that.

Would everyone make up their mind already?????

And there shouldn't be any ancient notes in game yet as only about 100 Cantr years has past.

If the notes were designed so they eventually became unreadable, that'd mean someone would have to copy them...

I'll be honest and say that I don't want anything coded into 'daily' Cantr life that makes it more difficult. I always stand by the belief that you should be able to play Cantr if you log in only twice a week. As for life getting boring - that's something for players to get their characters to sort out... But anyway, that's getting off topic somewhat...

Seriously Rklenseth... who quit over the game being too easy? You find me a single example of someone who quit because the game was too easy.

Then I'll shut up.

Easiness? Cantr is less easy now than it has been before, but my old characters have (materially) everything they could want. Now what do they do? All their material goals have been accomplished. I'm not going to quit Cantr, but life is very easy for them.

Conversely, life is difficult for my newspawns.
