What makes you happy?

Postby SekoETC » Mon May 23, 2005 9:56 am

Just listing little simple things that make people happy. (I'm trying to find generalizations I might use for one of them fantasy games I keep developing but they never get ready. But you don't have to think about this. Just tell me what makes you happy, even if it's hard to explain or something just for you.)

Being with friends. Falling in love. Hugging. Sugar rush. When it starts raining after it has been terribly hot for a while. Things that smell good. Getting things ready. Catching a fish. Raspberries. Sun!

And no, I'm not high on anything. It's just summer.

I'll tell you what would make me happy. Shane Warne breaking his wrist in the next month, either that or Straus getting a century against him.

Making other people happy or pleased with you, thunderstorms, playing my violin, writing, genuine compliments, night and the moon, a good book, food, getting exactly what you want--especially if it took a lot of time or effort from yourself to get, cleanliness and organization, when you feel that something is just perfect, arguing in support of something important to you, knowing someone cares about or loves you (even if it's just your dog).

Smelling my Fruttini shower gel, hugs from family members or boyfriend or close friends, dreaming of my dead sister, doing the right things (even if doing it makes me miserable), taking long hot showers, being cold, knowing that my boyfriend loves me, when my boyfriend is jealous, listening to Aerosmith.

I know there lots of other things that make me happy, but can't really remember them right now.

Playing with my neice (she's 18 months, and I don't get to see her nearly often enough), good emotional roleplay, cuddling up to my husband, sharing laughter, hugs, rainbows, woodland.

(*offers a hug to hallucinatingfarmer* I know the feeling, as I used to live two hundred miles away from the guy I'm now married to. We spent far more time apart than we did together)

Snuggling with my cats, especially when the kitten is being good.

New-kitten smell. Also new-baby smell.

Having a clean kitchen.

Holding my husband at night.

Watching The Simpsons

Sitting out on my patio with a Citronella candle and my drop spindle and spinning bright yellow yarn on a warm Saturday afternoon.

Having a bunch of good friends over for a party.

Hearing the words "It's not cardiac...."

ah-HAH! You is a dude!

*hug*

I feel your pain, bro. My girlfriend and I aren't going to see each other all summer as she'll be in California and I'll be in Chicago. No fun at all.

Being on my boat with my wife and girls.

Having a prayer answered.

Being able to sleep with the window open.

When the University of Kentucky Basketball team wins.

Watching a Praying Mantis watch me (did you ever notice you can see their eye balls move around?).

Closing a million dollar sale.

Cutting the grass (sometimes).

Having breakfast with a good friend before work.

Praying with my family at bed time (my all time favorite).

To hug my girlffiend, lay on a coach, rent a DVD, and sleep in her arms while watching...

To have a beautiful breakfast, :D

To make a beautiful meal in 3 hours and see it evaporate in 15 mins with friends,

Read a book, and have a beer in the balcony (as i am leaving in an apartment), while watching people coming from work really tired... ( as i get of work 1,5 hours earlier than others)...

To make love, :P

To be able to be on your own although you are standing within thousands (thanks for my Yoga teacher) ...

To remind myself that i am only a drop in the ocean and do not need to distress my self too much... At specialy when my boss catches me while i am checking my CANTR messages

Meh, just for verification purposes. I don't have time to read every message in the forum.
