Screw DSL
Well I switched to Road runner. DSL is like running through thick mud. Anywho, I'll have very limited connections to the internet for two weeks. Play nice with my cantr people.

You're lucky you even had DSL! We used to have it, then we moved out here in the middle of nowhere (well, not really . . .) and we don't have DSL or cable or anything good. The stupid cable line ends at the beginning of our 1/4-mile driveway.
Only this "high-speed" dial-up. "High speed" meaning that it doesn't completely load images, so they look like crap.

You want something to complain about? If -anyone- has something to complain about, it'll be me. I can't even -get- online at home. I have to go to the freakin' public library (no offense to book-lovers everywhere, for I am one as well) in order to get online. Even then I can only get online for an hour or so at a time. To boost, the home I'm in, they'll get online, but they won't give me their password to allow me to access the internet. Something about being addicted to electronics or something. *shrugs*

Offer to pay for the cable from your house to your driveway?

Man, I hate when my T3 at school gets all slow and I can't download stuff, and I'll want to watch a movie and I need to wait 17 minutes to download it....man, speed of light is not what it used to be.
PS- I just downloaded the 500 top rock and roll songs of all time in 10 minutes.

My school has a fast T1, but my DORM is stuck at 10MB/s because the subnet is old. Also, they restrict downloading ports: P2P and bit-torrent are so slow as to be worthless, and even DCCing via IRC and AIM is very slow. Downloading directly from the internet isn't restricted.
Our IT department knows its stuff. Sucks, though.
