I agree that a lot of the in-game creative spelling and grammar have taken on a certain charm. However, I use to look around at online games trying to find something interesting and whenever I saw one with significant language mistakes it would really quash my interest immediately. I don't think Cantr is that bad but it would be nice to fix it up a little.

One thing that bothers me on the New Users page is this:

Cantr II is set in a fairly realistic world. The technology level is strange - it is possible to build cars and helicopters in a world where a state-of-the-art tool is likely to be a pitchfork - but there is no magic of any kind built into the game.

Since we have neither helicopters nor pitchforks I think it is misleading and I would like to see other examples substituted. Dirt bikes and crowbars would be more accurate.

dung-fork is basically a pitchfork.

in totally unrelated news (although germane to the original topic)

I miss when the front page used to say "welcome at cantr II"

it was endearing.

I think it is supposed to be used like it sounds like it should.
