Oh y'know... same old same old. :D

But anyway... I thought that it had really nothing to do with government or politics, but more with just accepting all religions even if you do not agree with them. Follow your own path, but do not try to bring down others.

Lame, eh?

Let's see you do anything nearly as good. Let's see you write any music at all.

This is the classic stuff here, kid. The very begining. Gotta show respect.

The problem with this argument is that Nick does not claim to be good at writing music, and apparently these people think that this stuff is decent enough to publish.

And these sound like someone could easily make with Garage Band. It's not too impressive...

EDIT: And actually, I don't think any of this is really written at all.

Perhaps your right. He didn't claim he could do better than them.

But I'm afraid it was not just them that thought it was good enough to publish. In fact, if you knew anything about classical music, (although I suppose this stuff is probably before your time, and that is not of course your fault, no shame in that) you'd know that millions upon millions of Americans found it good enough to be published, good enough to pay for, good enough to listen to. And they didn't have the fancy assed MP3's to get word out to the whole country. They couldn't even get on television. It was all them, my friend.

And don't know what the hell "Make garage band" is supposed to mean, but if it means nationaly famous or multi millionaire superstar, or inspiration for most modern artists, then yes, they did indeed "Make garage band".

I can't make you be impressed though, I suppose. If you can't appreciate the classics, I can't make you.

Edit: Yes, I'm sure none of the tracks that were heard nationwide and raked in millions were ever written down. Sounds believable to me.

Well, for starters, that's not classical music. That would be something like Beetoven or something of that sort. I know you mean the basis of whatever genre that is, but I do know "something" about classical music, and that isn't it.

 Garage Band is a program that people have on computers that has hundreds of different beats and such and it allows you to arrange them in any way you want. It just reminded me of that.

And I certainly appreciate the classics, as that is what artists build music off of, but appreciating it and being impressed by it is two different things. And you're probably right that I am not impressed by it because I have heard much more complicated and sophisticated beats and songs before I heard this, so this does not seem like a hard thing to do.

Computer mixing programs?

Poor people in the eighties did not have computer mixing programs. All that sound is done with there mouths.

This is classical music. It's classical hip hop.

And I don't at all understand how just because you've heard something with a more complex beat makes you unappreciative of all the other things.

I've heard great songs, some I've heard songs that I feel are some of the best in the world.

That does not make all the other music bad, just like a fine meal does not decrease me appreciation for normal nutrition

That seems like a rather nonsensical way to look at things.
