Does anyone know why mine did not change to white until just today? And when will I get my orange back? I feel like I am missing information with white names and buildings.

Do you use FireFox? Mine kept it for about four days, even with regular clearing of the cache...

 , I'm soo lucky. The color hasn't changed for me...well, a minute ago it did but then it quickly changed back. So, all I got is orange...Finally, AOL is good for something, lol. Anyways, yeah, I don't like the white when I see it at school and that last minute, lol.

bookmarklet

Postby muffinimal » Tue May 17, 2005 8:39 am

I wrote a little bookmarklet to get the the colours back to orange again. You will have to click the link each time you want orange in stead of white. It can be useful though.

I am sure this works on firefox; I am not sure about other browsers. Here's what you do:

1) Copy the stuff below:

javascript:(function(){var newSS, styles='* { } :link, :link * { color: #FF9700 !important } :visited, :visited * { color: #551A8B !important }'; if(document.createStyleSheet) { document.createStyleSheet(%22javascript:'%22+styles+%22'%22); } else { newSS=document.createElement('link'); newSS.rel='stylesheet'; newSS.href='data:text/css,'+escape(styles); document.getElementsByTagName(%22head%22)[0].appendChild(newSS); } })();

2) Add a bookmark/favorite and paste the stuff you just copied in the location-area of your bookmark.

3) Whenever you want the links to be orange, just click on the bookmark.

4) I guess it is best to test the bookmark with this still open. Click the bookmark now. All the links on this page will turn orange. Doesn't work? Are you sure you did everything right? (Or are you using another browser than mozilla or firefox? Then I am not sure this will ever work).

Just reload the page if you want the original colours back. If you leave the page you have orangified, then the links will revert to their original state.

I hope this works for you. Good luck!

You can't really be serious to wait 7 days to change back something that almost everyone obviously hates.

It's been a week since the poll started. Where's my orange?

I really can't fully capture in words the irritability of that argument.

But...as for the white vs orange deal, I'd prefer to see the issue fixed properly and completely the first time around, even if it takes a little while longer.

I'll repeat my suggestions and those of others:

-Change the color to opaque orange

-Change the color to a greyish hue

-Having the player choose the colors

Sometimes that is not an option...

But I feel I still have a right to criticise. And this bold white... such a bad idea...

Hmm.... and though opinions are quite clear - we still have bold white.

It's been a week, I still don't like it.

We can't expect things, especially nonessential things like link colors, to be changed immediately.

People's opinions changing can't show on this poll because you can only vote once, cannot change it and the options are limited. Many people hate the white as much as they hate orange as much as they would hate having two separate colours for people and places. Not to mention how dull Cantr would look like with plain gray! See the problem?

The orange had to go because people were whining that it hurts their eyes. Now everybody wants the orange back. If you want it so bad, use that code posted earlier. I don't care. There are much better things to waste your time on than whining about a font colour. At least they didn't change the background! And I'm not mad at anybody, just wondering where have these forums gone to when the most popular topics are solely for whining. Get a life. Go play Cantr.
