I have had a prisoner of war who was detained for over two years however. Sadly, he was put into solitary confinement, and so was unable to get a girlfriend.
Jail time!

I have a char locked up right now in Kwor Fields(told he could work on a building then was thrown in jail because of working on that building
) , had a crowbar and tried twice to break the lock (unsussessfully) when Spider finally got through my shield.
Anyways, after that he decided to behave (atleast for now) and wait to talk to a certain De Dannon..

I once had a character that was locked up for just over four years, but unfortunately he never got the chance to roleplay.
He was twenty-five when arrived in a town and was asked by members of the community to help clean up some old iron projects. By the time I logged back in he had been thrown in a detention center, without being given a chance to explain his actions.
He then spent the next four years in a room full of dead bodies with nobody ever visiting or having anyone to talk to. This made it very difficult to roleplay - although he did knock and send out polite notes occasionally ( which weren't answered. ) Apart from a sleeper that died very shortly after his initial imprisonment, the only time he saw someone was when they eventually came in and killed him. Again without speaking.
I didn't mind that he was locked up so much, just that he never got a chance to roleplay. Which I thought was the main reason for playing Cantr. Even being made to work on projects or getting attacked occasionally would have been a break from the monotony. It was pretty much a waste of the time/effort I had put into building the characters personality.
Since then, I only roleplay completely law-abiding citizens, because I don't want the same thing to happen again. Which is a pity, because other characters have now missed out on some good opportunities for decent roleplay situations. I just don't want them to have their lives ( and my time ) wasted because of some players unwillingness to let their characters interact with one that is in prison.

My character is now married to the prison guard. In seatown forest Nosfarue was in jail for receiving stolen goods a long time ago. I rp'd with im for a long time as a murderer of inmates and such. The received stolen goods were steel. So i was easily able to make a weapon in there. I think it's funny. It's illegal to make weapons in seatown forest, but the only way i got away with it was by being in jail. Anyways, he was released and ended up marrying Alicia Reed...

Gahak was jailed for 48 or 49 days, I can't remember which. So two and a half years, but it sure felt like a decade. All for a silent battle of wills between the two probably most stubborn entities in Cantr. But in the end Tessa won, probably because Gahak was longing for Bailey so bad that he started thinking down there rather than with his brains. And thanks for that giving up his principle of never taking back his words, losing his damn credibility, and didn't even have a chance to fuck her before going too far speaking out his crazy fantasies and ending up being dumped.
So love/lust is a crazy thing. You'd think that if a relationship can endure forced separation for that long, it would take anything but apparently he totally misread her personality.
