I hate the white. With the names of people in different colors, I could scan for the ones I interact with and only read their comments/actions. Now I'm going to have to read everything and some of my charries are in large towns where too much happens to want to read everything.

What difference does white or orange make when people, buildings, and vehicles are all in orange now? Surely it doesn't make a difference what colour it's in?

I was referring to skimming for character names. Since building names, vehicle names, boat names, and character names are all now links, whatever colour they are it still swamps the events list and makes it impossible for me to skim for anything (i actually have started putting ** to mark characters who are important to me)

So I fail to see how orange is better than this.

Having seen Boomheurs suggestion, I prefer it to my own. Now all we need is for it to be changed.

The reason I like it is because it's unobtrusive, all text remains white, and differentiate the 3 kinds of links (buildings, vehicles and boats, and characters) by using different colour underlining, which I think looks neat and is helpful

I totally disagree.

I dislike all text being white. Anywhere there's any sort of movement or talking at all it's really distracting and actually hurts my eyes to try to keep up with it now. Before, I could tell at a glance (not an awful mouse-over) who was saying what to whom, and going and doing what.

I loved the orange-for-people thing, liked the orange-for-dynamically-named things, and HATE HATE HATE the bold white replacements.

And mouseover is horrendous. UGH.

It actually pains me to play cantr right now.

EDIT: customizeable CSS would be nice, as long as one of the options is to put it back to how it was before. So in that sense I agree with Boomhauer. But until then, please please please change it back.

Hum....

I also don't really like it, but maybe this is just..... habituation?!

But I absolutely agree with ya all, that it is horrible to read at the moment.... Don't know if this has been said before, I just skimmed through this thread so far, but in my opinion, best would be to simple underline the links..... but do NOT make them bold, 'cause a mixture of "normal thin" and bold text is definitely unreadable to me.... Image

But..... anyway..... I'm missing the orange, I really liked the color, it just.... FITTED the green..... :(

Yes, everyone get Firefox!

Trying to play at the college was awful, but I'm home now and with a real browser everything's back to normal. :)

Yep. We with proper browsers get to keep the original setting...

And as I log on again I must restate - BOLD WHITE IS EVIL

Make it some other color than the surrounding text. My eyes will thank you...
