Steel hammer?
Wouldn't it make more sense to make that require iron instead of steel? I know no one has ever had a problem with this... but I seriously can't bring myself to donate 50 steel for one of these when I could grab some stone and make one of those instead. I just... doubt there are many steel hammers running about Cantr.

There are different forms of tools for an easy to see reason.
The low grade ones are to stop you all from complaining. And so that you can actually BUILD stuff.
I'd like to see you try to smelt steel, without a steel hammer to build the machine. Bwah hahahaha! *Cough*
As well, later down the road, tools will have different efficiencies.
Also, currently, different tools degrade at different rates.

There are still some good reasons for an iron trowel...
-You can make one without wood, and then build a full-size smelter or an oven (though I don't think you can make a bellows without wood)...
-It degrades at a much, much slower rate than a 'wood trowel'....which can matter as soon as it's allowed to.
Steel hammer, though...that's just to look impressive at the moment.
