Crypts and tombs
With landmarks lending themselves to to gravestones, why not add crypts and tombs too?
I picture a very sturdy stone building with a very small interior. Now, due to newspawn fools and other miscreants, I'd reccommend it is completed with a lock installed.
As a crypt or tomb, it doesn't need to hold a whole lot, typically about the same amount as a bicycle I'd expect, but it should be more massive than the scale of a typical stone buildings. So it would take about half to a third of the stone of a traditional stone building, but hold far, far less.
The lock is vital though, as many people have been buried hastily when they were meant to be shoved in a building or returned home to be buried or put on display. It shouldn't be for free, so I'd expect there to be some iron included in the material requirements, and a screwdriver to build it.
It shouldn't be made to hold a great deal, because then people would take to living out of crptys, which they might anyway, but with the small storage area big enough to hold the body and what they were carrying or are going to be buried with, it should discourage people from building them as quarters.

Reality was never my strong point.

Re: Crypts and tombs
I like the idea but...
I never like the idea of game mechanics performing law enforcement duties. That's up to the society.

Who said law enforcement? Boats come with locks, a building designed to hold precious remains can have a lock.
It's not so much law enforcement as a building option. As a specalized building it would make sense for it to have a lock designed into it, as opposed to a normal building that are often build for public use. And a normal building has been used to attack a town before when it has a lock. With the small interior of a crypt, anyone building them for violent outposts could only hold out for a short bit.

Or... how about doing that with all buildings? So you can choose weather to put a lock on or not during the process of building it so when it's build you have a lock in it already. and if not you can add it later on?

Again, more effort than benefit. That's one of the most important things to take into consideration before making a serious suggestion.

Boats and vehicles come with locks because you can run off with them, as soon as they're completed.
Buildings don't come with locks, because they can't go anywhere. It's pointless to automatically add a lock to a building, because it starts out empty anyway, so put a lock on it - THEN put in what you want.
The only difference is that it would have different resource requirements, so HONESTLY, it's really a pointless addition...

Why not name a stone building 'so and so's crypt/tomb' - you're just lazy 'cos the buildings take too long to build - what would that poor dead character think if they saw you asking for a smaller building for their tomb becuase a stone building's too much effort?
Whoever you vote for.
The government wins.

Well then, toss a small stone crypt (minus any locks) on the barbie.
No it wouldn't. The time to add the lock would be added to the time to make the building.
The only time saved is the time it takes for you to log in, make the project, apply the resources, and begin working on it...
